But why don't we talk about some good news? You posted last year about the "Hush Lounge" shooting in Birmingham Alabama that's near me. 2024 was a horrible year for murder setting a record that goes back to 1934. But this year the murder rate is down 47%. What changed? THE WHITE CHIEF OF POLICE WAS REPLACED BY A BLACK MAN! So....maybe New York needs some DEI? Or maybe problems are fixable if people actually roll up their sleeves and get to work instead of obsessing ove race all of the time.

Edit: Is this another example of "taking things from white people" when a job is taking away from a white top cop who precided over a record breaking murder wave?
