Suggestion: Ron Paul impeaching Obama on NDAA

Treason? No
Bribery? no
hight crimes and misdeamnors? No

Signing a bill is not an imoeachable offense.
Sure it is, because the impeachment process is purely political. It's not much like an actual trial that is trying to determine facts. If enough people want to remove you it is done.

Dr. Paul has limited time and energy that should be all dedicated to the campaign trail. Taking his eye off the ball now is a mistake.

I believe Obama is the ball. Ron Paul is going to run for President regardless. This could get many, many neo-con, Obama-haters on our side, which is what we need.

Isn't it a bit of a stunt to file impeachment papers in a House that just voted the bill passed? Wouldn't they have to impeach themselves?

I agree drawing attention to it is good, but I think it might be viewed as a campaign stunt. Up to Ron.

Another reason to do it.

On paper this looks like a good idea. Not sure how it would play out, too many variables. Could be what the campaign needs, though.

I'd love to see it happen, although the media would definitely spin it to something like "Look at Ron Paul trying to suck up to disillusioned Liberals!"

IDK. I think if he can articulate his point well enough, and explain that he is doing this for ALL Americans- dems, repubs, indies, etc.. I think he becomes the official 'Peoples Champ'

We're still in the Republican primary and Romney is our only viable foe. Nothing would be a bigger signal that Ron Paul isn't serious about winning than engaging in hopeless endeavors such as this.

The republicans will be behind impeachment on other issues... he should honestly do it. not even for a campaign stunt for the damn principal of it.

this risks getting spun to ridicule the idea of impeaching a president over signing something handed to him by Congress.

not a good idea. sorry. it's the first thing i thought of, it's an easy spin, and it will likely backfire. i would support RP if he did it, but I don't think it would work out as well as we might hope. If it was a pure Executive Order, sure. But signing something handed to him? I mean, think of the precedent that would set - Congress writes an un-Constitutional bill, gets the prez to sign it, and then 'aha!' impeachment! Sorry, no.
