Yes, this is the best thing to do if you have the time. Find Ron Paul supporters and then make sure they have voted. If not then offer to take them to the polls and maybe buy them lunch. Anything to get the vote out.
Be careful about this. The act of voting is a civil act, an expression of a fundamental right. It is often considered inappropriate or even illegal to campaign in the immediate vicinity of an election location. Wait until later or go far enough away. It's not about not showing support, it's about keeping some of the act of voting distinct from the act of campaigning. I don't think it's a bad idea.
Get Out the Vote! Find you Precinct captain, and make sure you got everyone covered in your area. Then after you know you won your precinct, get out those signs, find CNN, MSNBC, FOX, Sean Hannity, Rudy Guilini, and every live tv camera.
By the way, if you find Hannity again, bring the pitchfork this time, like Olbermann says.
Vote VERY early, then get with your precinct captain and go out and knock on doors and physically bring people to the polls and then return them home. GOTV is WAY more effective, I promise! This is something we have learned from over a century of elections in this country. Once you have voted, then network with your Precinct Captains and your meetup groups, and go door to door shuttling the nominal RP supporters (the ones who failed so show up in Iowa) to the polls.
I know, acting as a poll shuttle service is not nearly as fun as a signwaving party, but the reason Obama won Iowa was ENTIRELY his strong GOTV. Look on the corners now, you see everybody BUT Obama waving signs. But Obama is going to win the Dem's in NH. Why? Because his supporters are all actively involved in GOTV and not the 'more fun' activities like signwaving.
How can this be illegal?! I just watched on CNN where Romney stood outside a polling location to shake hands with people coming in and he had a dozen people standing behind him with signs.
