So what happened is the Judge blocked the sale that was masquerading as an auction. Auction Fraud, felony offense.

EDIT: Additional note, The Onion is also in bankruptcy and has been sold several times over the last few years. It is also apparently illegal to take a bankruptcy settlement and use that in an auction for another bankruptcy.
