State of the Union address 2014 - Official thread

Rove just said on Fox that the next agenda on the executive order front will probably be climate change...

CNN instant poll: 66% of those who watched the SOTU had a positive reaction to it.

Next time they are going to put that shit on CNN, they oughta dress Wolf Blitzer as Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, because that's a fucking comedy skit

Yep... he sure does... Another Paul that missed the "Public Speaking & Extemporaneous Speaking" courses in College.

Dynamics and Delivery are 50% of the message.
Care to expound on that? I missed those courses too (along with the rest of them). I thought it was a good speech.

I really wonder how long this can sob song can continue.

Hey, NSA guys and gals who just dropped out of college and into a cushy government job and who are now following this thread and archiving this here run on sentence: I'd like to illuminate you as to why we here at RPF know Frank Luntz as the piece of shit he is, and how we know the media - and that includes FNC, expecially FNC - is nothing more than the mouthpiece of those who manipulate the minds of the masses for fun and profit.

Phew. I couldn't read that out loud. Fuck it. Just watch this, RPFers, if you haven't already:

FUCK YOU, FRANK.

I thought it was fine. After watching Obama do his left>right>left (following his teleprompters) far off gazes it's understandable that Rand appears rough.

Just watch the faces of the GOP in the SOTU videos, it's not disgust for deviation from the constitution, but disgust that the POTUS just purchased more from the lobbyists than they have!

FOX Megyn Kelly segment hosting the #1 manipulator of POLLS/FOCUS group, Fuck You Frank Lutz... AND, #1 GOP SuperPAC bundler-launderer for the past 12 years... Karl Rove.

This PROPAGANDA crap of Corporate Media is disgusting...

You must have watched the clip I posted already. You get +1 internets; enjoy.

Cruz is excoriating Obama for selective enforcement of the laws.

It's not necessarily what you say, but how you say it. And so far, I would be passed out if I wasn't drinking coffee watching this response......

This guy needs to work on his dynamics, big time.

If he was aiming to put people to sleep, I think he hit the target. Other than that, I'm honestly not sure what type of response this was to the actual State of the Union.
I'm going to get another cup of coffee now. Seriously, whoever is "helping" Rand with this stuff, either should quit now or go take a class (I'm assuming they never have).

He did much better in the Sunday interviews with questions/answers, than here. And this was pre-tapped, or pre-written and ready to go before the recording?

Just for reference, what was your opinion of the actual state of the union speech? I found myself cussing and almost throwing things at the idiotic things the president said but during Rand's speech I found that rare thing called "reason" and calmed down.

Could President Obama be critiqued? Absolutely. But this "response" from Senator Paul on the State of the Union, is just bizarre (and boring) for a response...
He didn't address the unemployment numbers, because Senator Paul can't. He already gave that card away when he said states are showing lower unemployment numbers, because of cuts in unemployment benefits. Which, doesn't mean jobs have actually been found, just vacated and not filled.

Climate change? Jobs? Education for all? President Obama saying he would act on his own in numerous cases?

I thought President Obama did a good job in the parts talking about using diplomacy, not rushing off to war, and was surprised he actually brought up closing Gitmo. And I think Senator Paul should have agreed with that, but said he doesn't do it without a Declaration of War. I thought that portion probably spoke a lot to President Obama's "base" though, and I thought it was hilarious to hear the response (or, lack thereof) of the members in the audience on some of them.

Nooooo. It's now apparent that you just have an axe to grind. Obama could have removed prisoners from Gitmo. It's a fucking joke that he hasn't after all these years but has kept talking about doing so even today.

The majority of Obama's speech was about spending money on training, unemployment and equalizing salaries. Rand spoke directly to what most of Obama's speech was about.
