So you're thinking about voting for Trump in 2024?

No, my problem is that you do believe Santa Claus is real.

I don't like Trump. I didn't even vote for him in 2020.

I would still rather he be President still than what we have or will have if he is not.

This is silly. If you want to vote another way or not at all, do it. I've voted 3rd Party more often than I've voted Republican.

I guess I'm just jaded.

Gee, how did he know?

Want to know why he hired the drunken bum 9iu11iani to botch the investigation into that "election"? Could it be because he knew for a fact that the same thing would happen if he had been reelected?

Of course he knew that. He had already printed the trillions and given it all to Big Pharma. Why would he want the blame for what he destroyed? You may think printing trillions for your cronies doesn't devalue the currency if the crook who does it wears an R next to his name, but he knew better all along.

There isn't half as much difference between Brandon and your favorite puppet as you're letting on. Biden hasn't done anything but finish what Trump started. There aren't many people left that still can't see that.

Instead of crying Orange Man Bad, why don't you share with us what you are looking for?

I have shared my point. I am appreciative that Republican VOTERS are now fighting the against the corrupt Republican POLITICIANS in the establishment. I think this is something we can build on.

What I am getting from you seems to be a theory that Trump is secretly working with the establishment to screw over the voters.

If that is in fact your theory, I personally find it far fetched. Is this your theory? Is your point that everything is a scam and nobody can be trusted?

Far fetched?

Let's try this again. Ron Paul exposed what the Establishment does to candidates it hates. It doesn't give them tons of bad publicity, because it knows there's no such thing as bad publicity. It gives them no publicity. It makes them They Who Must Not Be Named.

And Trump in 2015-2016? Hell, every Republican candidate who appeared on Sunday morning broadcast television for an interview was asked questions about Donald Trump. Nobody in history has ever gotten more publicity.

How does "Trump is a tool" translate in your mind into "nobody can be trusted"? You say you consider the rather obvious (by now) fact that Trump is a tool is far fetched in your mind. How far does this unfounded faith go? Do you really think that the fact that I know better than to trust Trump means I can't trust Ron Paul? Do you really put the two of them on the same level?

Exactly.

I've said, from 2015 on, that Trump was part of the kabuki theater we call government, to play everyone with the talking points they want to hear while doing the exact opposite. He was either deeply invested in it or TPTB knew him so well they could count on his brattiness to react exactly how they wanted.

And as far as "Biden hasn't done anything but finish what Trump started", the same can be said of Obama & Bush. Bush set this final police-state shit in place & Obama carried on. But nobody mentions Bush anymore, they just scream about bad Obama.

Here is what I am understanding from you.

  • Orange Man Bad
  • Trump is part of an establishment conspiracy
  • You have no vision for the future
  • Orange Man Bad

If you are attempting to convey something else, you aren't saying it very clearly.

NO.

What he's saying is:

WAKE UP!

We are all in The Matrix now.

[*]Orange Man Bad

[*]Trump is part of an establishment conspiracy

Those needed separate bullet points?

[*]You have no vision for the future

I've been on this forum nearly as long as you have expounding on where we can go from here, but if I don't repeat all of it every time you're losing an argument with me, it's all invalid?

[*]Orange Man Bad

You weren't paying attention to yourself the first time?

If you are attempting to convey something else, you aren't saying it very clearly.

You think that if I'm not hijacking the thread, I'm invalid?

I'm not losing argument with you because I am not arguing with you.

If you believe Trump is controlled opposition and I don't, that's ok, we can agree to disagree. I am not going to argue with you, it is pointless.

I am making no comment regarding hijacking the thread. I am simply attempting to understand your opinions and ideas.

My opinion is that we have a path toward liberty through the new right that is blooming as a result of the Trump presidency. Do you agree with this opinion or disagree?

NO.

What he's saying is:

WAKE UP!

We are all in The Matrix now.

I don't know if that is what he is saying.

I do agree that we are in a Matrix. I disagree that everyone is fake and nobody in the Republican party can be trusted. I think we have allies.

My opinion is that we have a path toward liberty through the new right that is blooming...

It's the most promising sign I've seen since the Bicentennial, and I do have some hope because of it.

...as a result of the Trump presidency.

Wait, you think the guy who paddled out and surfed a while actually created the wave he rode?

Do you agree with this opinion or disagree?

Yes and no--mostly no.

Ok so you have a tiny bit of hope, but mostly not... got it.

Also this tiny bit of hope that is the best since 1976 (46 years later) has nothing to do with Trump, that is purely a coincidence.

So what do you see for the future? A Rand Paul presidency? A Ron DeSantis presidency? Are you a fan of the new wave of Republicans that are fighting the establishment? Do you also see the new right as a conspiracy of controlled opposition?

You don't seem to. I didn't quantify my hope. I just don't agree with you.

I don't consider it a coincidence that Trump rode our wave, I consider it an opportunistic attempt to short circuit us to ground like a lightning rod.

In the future I see success, I see failure, and I see no way to foresee which will be our fate. The New Right is like the Libertarian Party and the Tea Party. It's infiltrated, and those infiltrators will either sabotage it to death or not.

As for who the next president will be, my life experience tells me you'd be better off asking your Magic 8 Ball.

It seems to me that you are spending so much time being butt hurt about Trump that you can't see how we have more of an opportunity to take over the GOP than ever before. Neocons are now despised by the majority of Republican voters. While we aren't yet at a point where the GOP is a champion of Austrian Economics, the opportunity is there. Keynesian Economics needs to be cast as a form of Marxism and rejected by conservatives. There is so much positive here. Unfortunately you appear to me to be caught up in Orange Man Bad!

I would say good day sir, but I haven't ask you what your preferred pronouns are.

No.

You, as long as we are wandering around inside each other's heads, are so caught up in Trump's cult of personality, and the left/right paradigm, that you think love of Trump will fix something. You also can't listen to anyone without pigeonholing them, and if they don't share your pigeonhole, attacking them. And you don't seem to have much of an appreciation for realistic expectations, either--if a person doesn't have unconditional faith that they'll get what they want, they don't really want it in your mind.

And, well, I disagree.

I haven't attacked you at all. I have a different opinion and that is ok. Its ok that you have an opinion that I disagree with. I am not interested in arguing with you or attempting to convince you of anything. I simply wanted to understand your view... and I find it odd that you act like a Berkeley Professor.

My preferred pronouns are Zim/Zam just to be a pain in the ass.
