Should it be "Rand Paul 2016" or "Lamar Smith is a Commie" on my 8x44 billboard? IDEAS?

I just spoke with Stewart (founder of OK) and he said Oath Keepers will pay for the cost of this billboard if you decide to go with it...

If not, I like the Jefferson/Rand Paul idea.

I like the idea of advertising Rand right away for two reasons. First, because it would be good for people to research him on their own, before the media can tell them how to think. And second, the wake of the Obama election is a good time to come out with a bandwagon of hope for people to jump on. I think that it would be good for the words Rand Paul 2016 to be there in addition to, or instead of, the picture.

btw: The truck billboard is great. Thank you for what you are doing.

OathKeepers would be GREAT!

I personally believe it would be odd to the people reading the billboards to promote Rand Paul now, but promoting things that will lead people to Rand Paul is what we should do. Oathkeepers billboard would accomplish that and more.

Of course, Sheriff Mack lives in the area so I am sure he would love the Oathkeepers billboard. He is one of the main ones.

I have decided to not go with Rand Paul until 2014 --- For the next two years it will some form of liberty message.

It will be similar to this -- but maybe with "Patriot Act" instead. The oath Keepers use the NDAA line (on their billboards) because it directly effects arresting LEO's and military personnel.

I haven't heard from vegaspatriot just yet, but I think the oath keepers will "ok" it. Ha Ha. -- I thought that going with Oath Keepers adds credibility to the billboard, not to mention that it may get MY local leo's thinking.

As for Rand, I will start promoting him in November of 2014. Until then it'll be good 'ol Ben Franklin.:)

So how are you going to do it? 8x8 full color on ben... then black paint and vinyl on the rest? Or full color across?

Refer to politicians you don't like as Nazi's every chance you get. They hate it.

full color 360 dpi on an 8x44 foot 13 oz. banner. Which reminds me. I'm going to create a thread that has the printer web address and info. For this banner delivered its only $348.48 -- Ink good for 2 years -- for UV ink (5 years) its $120 extra for that size banner. http://www.echodgraphics.com/Banners/Billboard/3.aspx

They will make pretty much any size that you want. They also print on canvas, large vinyl adhesive backed, etc... However they ARE NOT graphics designers. They can do a few things with text etc. But they are set up for you to submit your own artwork.

Their order page is real simple:

  • Enter size
  • Quantity
  • Hem style -(From menu) -including grommet option
  • UV Ink option
  • Artwork file type and submission
  • comments
  • shipping options
  • total price

Pass it on for freedoms sake!

Do you mean for an applet/widgit? Or a banner that some one could change the numbers on ? Whats on your mind?

It would be a pretty big project but here's what was on my mind: I was thinking a banner that someone could change the numbers on.

If people are going to be looking at this sign frequently over the course of the next couple years, they'll get used to noticing changes. By making little changes you reinforce their behavior of looking at the banner, and in a way, trusting its message.

You can steer their opinion in a particular direction over the course of time. A national debt clock would give some base that is changing, and will be noticed. Hell, it is totally independent of political parties. Some one could even change the numbers right after a particular news story hits about wasteful government spending.

Then roll it up and put out the masterpiece banner... lets just hope that Rand has well developed plan for the economy by 2016 (kinda like Ron's!).

I can see that. Order two banners one with a blank digital clock face with some wording , the other banner is filled with numbers that are to be cut out and velcro'ed to the clock face. Easy. Yep, that would work.:)

Yep.
