During an appearance on Brian Kilmeade’s radio program Tuesday, GOP presidential hopeful Rick Santorum accused the Fox network of “shilling” for his rival, Mitt Romney.

“The man has had a ten-to-one money advantage,” Santorum said of Romney on the show.

“He’s had all the organizational advantage. He has Fox News shilling for him every day — no offense, Brian, but I see it — and yet, he can‘t seal the deal because he just doesn’t have the goods to be able to motivate the Republican base and win this election.”

Kilmeade, however, defended his network, qualifying that Romney’s campaign responds to interview requests promptly and that he had tried to book Santorum on his show for no less than three and a half months, to no avail.

“We’ve been requesting you [Santorum] on this show for about three and a half months, minimum, and we’ve gotten nothing but, ‘yeah, we’ll see,’” Kilmeade fired back.

“I’ve just got to take you on Fox News shilling for Mitt Romney, 24 hours a day, I totally disagree with that. You can feel the way you want, I‘m just telling you there’s no way I agree with that. And you’ve been on as much as anyone.”

How is that possible when Rupert Murdoch has pretty much endorsed Santorum?

Santorum is just a whiny baby.

Murdoch has very little to do with the day-to-day workings of Fox News.

It's true that most in the "conservative" media are shilling for Romney.

Santorum can't be watching much of Fox News. Every time I watch Fox he is there staring out at me. They should rename it "Santorum News".

As opposed to CNN for Santorum?

In late December 2011 when Santorum was dead in the water, along came CNN with a phony GOP-only poll showing him at 15% in Iowa. Then the media used this fake poll to make it a reality, through incessant fawning coverage about a "surge." Santorum can't speak negatively about media creations without being a hypocrite, because he is one.

I agree with this.

I think CNN wants Obama to win and knows Santorum has the worst chance against him in the General.
FOX, typically anti-Obama, thinks Romney can win and shills for him.
But the point being, Santorum should keep his mouth shut if he's not using it to thank CNN.
