Tucker Carlson fired from Fox News

I'm sure Tucker and his $150 million dollar bank account are very worried. It amazes me that there's 7k+ views on this thread, worried about the future of the guy that single-handedly torpedoed Dr. Paul's 2008 campaign by giving WaPo's Chris Cillizza a primetime national platform to smear Ron with wokester propaganda right before the 08 Iowa Caucus.

Can Fox News Replace Tucker? | Part Of The Problem 990
On this episode of Part Of The Problem, Dave and Robbie take a look at the reasoning behind Tucker Carlson's firing, and who could replace him in the ratings. We also hear about the attacks from the media on the newest challenger for the democratic party nomination, RFK Jr.

Does FOX News seriously believe they can replace Tucker Carslon with a Hawk that would be all for supporting the war in Ukraine?
Becoming a second Sean Hannity on the network?

Yea I don't think you're ever gonna get it and that's ok

They introduce the conflicts into society then spend the following years commenting on the conflicts they publicized far and wide. Nice racket there.

"There's a disturbing new trend emerging that we simply must tell you about.....TransBLMRussianSupremacyPatriarchyyadayada.....now please get mad, tell others about the nonsense we just fed you, and come back soon for more nonsense about it since Pfizer ads pay our million dollar salaries, thanks"

Yes and then there is the racket of the people commenting on the rackets of people commenting on the conflicts that they themselves created as part of the racket

Sometimes I think I'm the only person left not getting paid to be full of shit. No racket here. You?

So Kaleigh McEnany takes over his slot.

Hmm. She was the most competent press secretary in my adult lifetime.

Still though whoever takes that spot surely must know that if they can get rid of Tucker, they'll get rid of anyone, so it'll be hard to expect any degree of integrity from the network that isn't filtered by the big-whigs.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders was pretty good too.

Tucker is getting ready to launch a Fox News competitor and is "preparing for war"

Since Tucker Carlson's abrupt and stunning departure from Fox News, it seems that he has been busy laying the groundwork to launch a rival media outfit of his own.

The scoop comes from Axios and their headline is "Tucker Carlson ready to torch Fox News." Axios cites "sources close to" Tucker to report that he is mobilizing an effort to get himself released from his contract with Fox News so he can launch his own competitor — "a media empire of his own."

Apparently, Tucker's contract with Fox News goes through 2025 — after the presidential election — and he can't work for anyone else before then. So Fox is basically paying him $20M per year to not work.

Rumble and Newsmax have reportedly offered Tucker contracts more lucrative than his Fox gig, and he apparently also met with Elon about a venture. Axios' sources claims Tucker is also "contemplating building a direct-to-consumer media outlet where his millions of fans could pay to watch him."

Tucker "knows where a lot of bodies are buried, and is ready to start drawing a map," one of the sources said.

Another source Axios calls "a close Carlson friend" said:

"Now, we're going from peacetime to DEFCON 1. His team is preparing for war. He wants his freedom."

Stay tuned...

I think Kaleigh was the sharpest and most quick-witted. Then again, I'll admit that the current lesbian who never looks up from her podium when she fumbles around for a non-answer is among the comparisons. I mean, she's a terrible liar. I would think if a politician needs a spokesperson you should get someone who can tell a lie without looking everywhere but at the audience.

Kaleigh was super-organized though. She's probably the one who took immaculate notes and everyone cheated off of in high school.

I'm still not watching anything from that network though, and if she's genuine she won't be there much longer.

Carlson was told by a member of the Fox board that he was taken off the air as part of the Dominion settlement, per Tucker's legal team
The revelation comes as Tucker Carlson has launched a new exclusive show on Twitter.

Hannah Nightingale (09 May 2023)

On Tuesday, it was revealed that Fox News’ settlement with Dominion Voting Systems over claims made in 2020 about the company’s voting machines’ role in the presidential election was the reason why former Fox News host Tucker Carlson was taken off the air.

Two people briefed on the conversation told Axios that Carlson had been told by a Fox board member that he was taken off the air abruptly last month as part of the settlement with Dominion Voting Systems.

The $787 million settlement reached by the two parties came less than a week after it was revealed that Carlson was off the air, with his final show being the Friday after the settlement was announced.

In a letter from Carlson’s lawyers to Fox News, they argue that Carlson’s noncompete clause in his contract, which runs through 2025, is no longer valid, alleging Fox employees, including "Rupert Murdoch himself," broke promises to Carlson "intentionally and with reckless disregard for the truth."

The lawyers accuse Fox executives, which two sources told Axios are Viet Dinh and Murdoch, of making “material representations,” or promises, to Carlson that was intentionally broken, constituting fraud.

"These actions not only breached the covenant of good faith and fair dealing in the Agreement, but give rise to claims for breach of contract, and intentional and negligent misrepresentation," the letter says.

The revelation comes as Tucker Carlson has launched a new exclusive show on Twitter [see this thread - OB].
