Ruth Bader Ginsburg hospitalized after fall breaks three ribs

Hope she has a speedy recovery. As much as I want her gone, I don't want it to end this way.
A firing squad?
Thrown out of a helicopter?
Suffocated with a pillow?
Hung?
The electric chair?
I'll take any of those or death by hospital. (Pneumonia, antibiotic-resistant infection, etc.)
Just as long as she is gone and Trump gets to replace her with Lee or someone else. (Almost anyone will be an improvement)

You know, I don't think I'm in a hurry to have her gone. As nice as it is to have more conservatives on the Supreme Court, I think it's good to still have some balance. Remember all the attacks in the Constitution that came during Bush's presidency. Right now we have all the leftist craziness (but not from RBG). But there may come a time we wouldn't want all of one party (either party) on the Supreme Court.

Ok. and before someone points out that it's unlikely we would ever have all of one party, don't take it too literally. If we had only one or two of one party (or maybe even 3), it would be almost like having all of one party.

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was not on the bench Tuesday for a session, after sustaining a fall last week and fracturing three ribs.
The high court met for a non-argument session Tuesday morning, less than one week after the 85-year-old justice fell in her Supreme Court office.
“Justice Ginsburg will not be on the Bench this morning for the non-argument session,” the Court said in a statement Tuesday. “She continues to improve and is working from home this morning.”
The court did not hear arguments on Tuesday, but took the bench for other routine business.
Ginsburg, the court’s oldest justice, was admitted to George Washington University Hospital last Thursday “for observation and treatment” following the fall.
Ginsburg has dealt with a series of health concerns in recent years, but has yet to miss a single day of oral arguments in her tenure on the highest court in the land, according to The Washington Post.
Ginsburg broke two ribs in 2012, and previously battled two bouts of cancer. She also had a stent implanted in her heart to open a blocked artery in 2014.

Now that I think about it, why don't the other supreme court justices get together and tell Ginsburg that she needs to retire? Are justices not allowed to say those things? If I was a justice and asked about her, I straight up say she needs to retire.

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg Undergoes Surgery For Lung Cancer

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg underwent surgery Friday for early stage lung cancer, a Supreme Court spokesperson tells NPR. Doctors at Memorial Sloan Kettering hospital in New York performed a lobectomy, removing one of the five lobes of the lung.

Short of complications in recovery, doctors say prospects look good for a full recovery for Ginsburg, 85. She hopes to be back on the court for the start of the next argument session in early January.

The cancer was discovered after Ginsburg fell, fracturing several ribs in November. In taking CT scans of her ribs, doctors noticed an abnormality in one lobe of the lung. Subsequent biopsies and other initial tests revealed two non-small cell cancerous lesions, with no lymph node involvement detectable.

I guess they don't want to be called names, like Putin's bitch or some nonsense.

Since Ginsberg is so enthralled with the Constitution of South Africa, it would probably be prudent for all memorial services and funerals be moved there.

Some Democrats were trying to get her to retire back in the middle of Obama's last term.

Of course she refused.... I think she is putting herself before anything, or anybody else, very selfish.

This is from after her fall, but before her lesions went public.

It won't be long now.

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, 85, underwent a lung procedure on Friday to remove two malignant nodules in her left lung, the Supreme Court said in a release.

The court said that she is "resting comfortably" at the hospital, although the addition of "malignant" to the diagnosis probably leaves a dismal outlook to her chances.

Full SCOTUS release below:
Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg underwent a pulmonary lobectomy today at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. Two nodules in the lower lobe of her left lung were discovered incidentally during tests performed at George Washington University Hospital to diagnose and treat rib fractures sustained in a fall on November 7. According to the thoracic surgeon, Valerie W. Rusch, MD, FACS, both nodules removed during surgery were found to be malignant on initial pathology evaluation. Post-surgery, there was no evidence of any remaining disease. Scans performed before surgery indicated no evidence of disease elsewhere in the body. Currently, no further treatment is planned. Justice Ginsburg is resting comfortably and is expected to remain in the hospital for a few days.
We would imagine the 'Left' is about to start panicking since the GOP's gains in the Senate during the Midterms would only ease any new SCOTUS nominees going forward.

No 85 year old woman breaks 3 ribs in a fall, and then survives a surgery for lung cancer a few weeks later. No surgeon would even consider it, unless the risk of the lung cancer spreading rapidly was greater then the risk of her dying from complications of three broken ribs.

It must have been extremely fast spreading, for them to decide to do surgery on her LUNGS while she was recovering from 3 broken 85 YEAR OLD RIBS.

They will find more, or the surgery was a last ditch effort to save her from likely hemorrhaging and growing infections.
Either way, I will get my pay.

By the way. remember when revolution3.0 was confused about what happened to the dude who broke Rand Paul's ribs? remember, he had no idea that the guy was given a slap on the wrist for trying to kill rand? He just assumed the guy got hard prison time, because he is that childlike in his worldview?

I am not of the martyr blood line. There is no more turning of the cheek.

By the way, coming this Christmas to a theater near you, (no joke)
