Ron Paul Will Win the Presidency For Republicans

He's right. Romney/Paul would crush Obama.

There will be pages of people arguing about this like usual.

In Romney vs. Obama, which side are Goldman, JP Morgan, Citibank and Bank of America on?

Come on folks, we know this script. As soon as we are no longer "dangerous", we may as well no longer exist.

This is a what if and a big what if at that. It's obvious the two are cordial with each other. Let's assume for arguments sake, the two are making deals behind closed doors. Now, let's go one step further. Ron is 76 y/o. What if a deal is made with Romney that if Paul is the main ticket, after the first term, Ron decides to step down and that opens the door for Romney to run for President, since that's what he really wants. Maybe by then, Ron's intellect and charm will finally mold Romney into a better candidate and under a Paul Presidency, America will see the betterment of the country and Romney benefits from that. It would be a win/win proposition for both and Romney is still young enough to hold out 4 more years. Go ahead, hit me with the slingballs.

They didn't buy off Romney to have him sitting behind Paul. Not gonna happen...

Romney/Paul probably would win. I wouldn't vote for it though.

If Paul actually chose to do this, and said that he could make it worthwhile for us, I would trust him and he would have my vote.

Do I see him doing this? Extremely unlikely.

Why is this labeled "news" when it is nothing more then an opinion piece?

Romney/Paul ticket will never happen. He is right, the GOP will not win without Ron Paul, and he needs to be the nominee or Obama gets another 4 years. Its just that simple.

No One But Paul

They will not win without Paul. For Paul to accept VP there would have to be some serious policy concessions. That makes it unlikely to happen.

This ain't a Cult of Personality. I wouldn't vote for a Romney/Paul OR a Paul/Romney.

While I would prefer to see Ron Paul get the nomination, I would vote for a Romney/Paul ticket - not a Santorum/Paul or Grinch/Paul as I abhor both of those men so immensely that I could never get myself to do it, but Paul as the VP would be a huge step for freedom. He would have immense sway and power in the Senate and would be able to work with Rand. Given a choice between Romney/someone else (who would lose anyway) or Obama or having Ron Paul as the VP if he couldn't be the nominee - well, I don't see how you couldn't take that as a giant step forward. Four more years of Obama or Ron Paul having influence on the policies of the United States from a far more powerful position than he now holds? Not even a choice. And, for those who say the VP has no power - I give you Dick Cheney

There is no way in hell that Romney would pick Paul as VP. You guys have more faith in Romney than he deserves. The MSM is trying to brainwash people into thinking that Romney and Paul are better friends than they truly are. Even if Romney wanted to pick Paul, do you think the powers that be would allow Ron to be the VP possibility, when they are fighting tooth and nail to remove Ron from the equation?

They may not have any choice but to acquiesce to win the election if it came to that.

Romney/Rand Paul would be competitive.

Romney/Ron Paul would lose. They would be so contradictory it would make for a really sloppy ticket. Ron wouldn't "stay on message" and by that I mean he wouldn't stick to talking within the romney-biden political spectrum that is "acceptable."
