Ron Paul to Make Major Announcement Next Week

Most folks were exhausted and many expressed a "country music overload" from the weekend.
90% of the rally walked out on Sara Evans?

Yes, I live in Nashville and dabble in the country music industry as an audio engineer and I didn't stick around. I was at the arena at noon, and was pulling an all-nighter to get to the airport the next day at 5am. Needless to say I was tired, worn out, and honestly other than the second coming, NOTHING could top the program that had just preceded Sara's performance. Well... maybe if Metallica had played... but short of that :-P

Ron Paul will likely be announcing that 911 was an Inside Job!

haha, i kid, i kid.

I really cant wait to hear what he has to announce. The anticipation is killing me.

unless it is...ron paul fusion candidate of the 3rd parties

Unless ron paul's announcement is i will be a fusion candidate of all the 3rd parties probably wont make a dent.

Something like this would be nice:

"After much thought and seeing how bad things are getting, etc.

These following campaigns have asked me individually over the past year if i would accept the turnover of their fusion battle access and top of ticket names to put my name above theirs. As you know i from the beginning have said no to a 3rd party run.

But I and america seem to have very little choice this election else our country could be destroyed...

Therefore i fervently accept this fusion title of all 3rd parties and promise to spread the message of liberty and freedom to all of america this election."

Wouldn't that be great!!

90% of the rally walked out on Sara Evans? I didn't hear about that. That's pretty horrible if it's true; it'll make it harder to get big name people to come to future rallies.

we were exhausted, that is all that is to it...... i cannot speak for everyone ,but my god WE WERE ALL EXHAUSTED, nothing against sara evans.....

fusion ticket ! hmmm, that would be great !!!!!!!!!!! that would be the only news that would be exciting , and would energize liberty loven Americans to vote for a brighter future cause Obama and Mccain is a disaster for America.... If only a 3rd party candidate could get media coverage....where is the billionaire? ----- The media is all over the Obama train and Mccain, yet everwhere I go and talk to people they all say they will not vote Obama or Mccain...what gives?------ wow are we ripe for a 3rd choice... where is the billionaire ?

Could you imagine?

Wolf Blitzer on September 10, 2008: "Ron Paul announced today that Barr and Baldwin will be dropping out today and he will run on a fusion ticket of those two political parties. Paul's VP is not clear at this time. The Green party of America is also considering an endorsement and money. A new Gallup poll shows Paul at 9% nationwide without any campaigning on his first day of running.........."

Sigh....now I'm going to be so let-down when it is (likely) just an endorsement of both Barr and Baldwin.

Here's one for ya,

Joint suit against the state of texas for ballot access issues

Yeah we were kicking this one around this morning as I washed the cars. My take was like others mentioned here that Paul might finally step up to the plate and accept the LP (fusion) ticket nomination. After riot police invaded his private party and our delegates were followed around like criminals, he may finally be pissed enough to do it. It would be so nice to be back in business and make a stand this year instead of working the system and waiting. Can you imagine a debate between Paul, McCain and Obama?

On Sarah Evans, you guys made a big mistake by leaving (in my opinion). She was absolutely fabulous and has a string of Number 1 records to prove it. She was very gracious to Dr. Paul thanking him for the invite and wishing us well. We moved up to the front row nearly close enough to smell her perfume. And yes, she is nothing short of beautiful. Shem - you missed your chance.

Can you imagine a debate between Paul, McCain and Obama?

I get excited just thinking about it. It would be pretty embarassing for Obama and Mccain though. Ron would literally embarass them in debate...

he is experience + real change.... McBama would have nothing.

You must have missed the "debates" or scripted and segmented soundbyte opportunities this year. He can't embarass them if he doesn't get asked questions or isn't invited or the question asked are scripted as to try to embarass him.

I don't know the legal feasibility of a fusion ticket at this point but I still have my RP bumper sticker on the car, so I'm all for it! I doubt this is what the announcement will be; but if true I can imagine a countrywide: "And a mighty roar has just gone up from Ron Paul’s supporters." --Olbermann

Here's my take (remember I predicted it first - ha)

So what do we know about the announcement so far?

We know from a senior member that:

I know what it is, and it's substantial...

It's not an endorsement.

Don't worry you will like it no matter who you support for President.

And then we know from Chuck Baldwin's site that: (http://baldwin08.com/EventsCalendar.cfm)
"Ron Paul has invited Chuck Baldwin to a press conference outlining the positions voters should look for when choosing a presidential candidate."

And we know from Bob Barr's site that he will be at the same press release:
Joint Press Conference
National Press Club
10:30 am (Sept 10th)

And from Campaign for Liberty site we know that the press release to the media said:

"FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CONTACT: Jesse Benton
September 5, 2008

ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA – On the heels of his historic three-day rally in Minneapolis that drew over 12,000 attendees, Congressman Ron Paul will make a major announcement next week in Washington at the National Press Club."

So my take on this is that a major announcement will be made which will be an outline of the positions on certain issues that the two party candidates and the media are not talking about so as to try to get the voters to make their choice for president based on what is really important rather than the BS the establishment is giving them. And since Bob Barr and Chuck Baldwin will be there RP will (or they will) make it known to the public that both BB and CB meet RP's important criteria.

So the primary target for this announcement is the voting public and not the r3volution. In other words he will once again remain consistent with his "free market" principles and not make an endorsement leaving it entirely up to the r3volution to decide who they want to support for this presidential election cycle.

Presumably this is also his way of solving some other problems such as how to avoid offending either BB or CB and possibly other problems having to do with not jeopardizing his good standing with the GOP which aligns with his C4L long range goals.

After reading all that it doesn't sound like the "fusion" ticket theories are true. I predict this will be less than exciting announcement and be ignored by the media.

Sheesh.

"Outlining the positions voters should look for when choosing a presidential candidate" and "ill be an outline of the positions on certain issues that the two party candidates and the media are not talking about" sounds kinda dull.

The track record for both RonPaul2008 and the CFL on these "big news" and "major announcements" always seems to be a huge let-down.

At this point why should Ron , Jesse , Perot , Pat , and the other 3rd Party candidates, Balwin , Bar , Nadar , and others stand on the sidelines going generally in the same direction but working independently of one another . Could finally all these people and others and the Public work together even in a short time and someone other than a dem or rep. win? I personally think we could,,,we don't have 4 more years of the same and Obama does not have the answers either.......where is the billionaire ?

If this is really what it is then it is neither substantial, or major and the only people will tune to watch it will be us, Barr and Baldwin supporters. This would be a complete waste of time and accomplish nothing, no one will pay attention other than those informed already.

that's just it we the people have the power but we don't use it cause it takes lots of money , which I say it should not but it does.....so we need a leader who is willing to run and a billionaire....... allot of people I come into contact with are just waiting for someone who can make a difference and can win IE: money-----they would vote for such a person..but they say Obama or Mccain I will not vote for so why vote, it will note make a difference..

can A2planet be trusted? Ghemminger claimed to know of huge announcements, too, but they never happened.

What could be so substantial about it....
