So what do we know about the announcement so far?
We know from a senior member that:
And then we know from Chuck Baldwin's site that: (
http://baldwin08.com/EventsCalendar.cfm)
"Ron Paul has invited Chuck Baldwin to a press conference
outlining the positions voters should look for when choosing a presidential candidate."
And we know from Bob Barr's site that he will be at the same press release:
(
http://www.bobbarr2008.com/)
Joint Press Conference
National Press Club
10:30 am (Sept 10th)
And from Campaign for Liberty site we know that the press release
to the media said:
"FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CONTACT: Jesse Benton
September 5, 2008
ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA – On the heels of his historic three-day rally in Minneapolis that drew over 12,000 attendees, Congressman Ron Paul will make a major announcement next week in Washington at the National Press Club."
So my take on this is that a major announcement will be made which
will be an outline of the positions on certain issues that the two party candidates and the media are
not talking about so as to try to get the voters to make their choice for president based on what is
really important rather than the BS the establishment is giving them. And since Bob Barr and Chuck Baldwin will be there RP will (or they will) make it known to the public that both BB and CB meet RP's important criteria.
So the primary target for this announcement is the voting public and not the r3volution. In other words he will once again remain consistent with his "free market" principles and not make an endorsement leaving it entirely up to the r3volution to decide who they want to support for this presidential election cycle.
Presumably this is also his way of solving some other problems such as how to avoid offending either BB or CB and possibly other problems having to do with not jeopardizing his good standing with the GOP which aligns with his C4L long range goals.
