I meant to say border locked.
Wrong, NH also borders Canada.
Georgia isn't the best state but I cannot just get up and move.
Fair enough.
Where I live it is pretty rural so its not too bad. And that is another disadvantage with New England, high population density.
I understand that may be the perception, but it's also untrue. NH population density is 147/sq mi. Georgia is 165/sq mi.
And most of NH is hardly populated at all -- almost all of the population is in the south-east part of the state.
Those northern states like Wyoming and Montana would be the best choices for the FSP, imo.
There are many, many reasons why Wyoming and Montana are inferior choices, starting with a much less accessible legislature, and a state so large that it's nearly impossible to travel/cooperate on activities in different corners of the state.
Feel free to move to WY or MT, if that's where you want to live

New Hampshire is currently the freest state. The question is how long that will hold up.
Actually, it's getting freer all the time. Last year the budget was CUT 12% -- as in, actually lower, not a cut in the increase. Tell me, what other state cut their budget at all?
In other news, a bill is now law in NH that defense attorneys may inform the jury of their perogative to "judge the law" as well as the facts and defendant.
Also all knives are now legal in NH.
Also just about all restrictions/notification requirements for homeschooling have been eliminated: http://www.gencourt.state.nh.us/legislation/2012/HB1571.html

A new voucher program was just created, which enables businesses to donate to help public school students attend private school, instead of paying a large portion of their business tax.
