Well, actually it was his cynical sarcastic mouth. But he still is my hero of the day.

In class, they were talking about the election and the teacher said there were 3 candidates left.

My son put his hand up and said "Ron Paul is still in the race."

The teacher said "No, he quit because he couldn't keep up."

To which my son said "No, he's definitely still in. Maybe you should quit if you can't keep up."

:D

Ahahahaha. Was this public education? If so, should of added...

"Ron Paul wants to dismantle the Department of Education. Maybe, you don't want to lose your job?"

But that is fken hilarious. :D

You are an awesome parent.

Qft. ;)

Also question: In detention... couldn't he say "This is a Deprivation of Liberty" - you can be charged with that.. like holding someone against their will... ? :D

Three cheers for your son and three boo's for that mis-informed biased teacher!

LOL... How old is he/what grade us he in?

and/or, Why should we trust anything else you say... if you can't keep up?

Thanks, you made my day!

Get detention--get ice cream. Funny, it never worked that way for me...

He's a good kid, and he gets good grades so I try not to sweat the small stuff, and he knows full well that actions have consequences. '

He got suspended last year for trying out itching powder for school. I think the principal was upset that she couldn't suspend me when I told her we had purchased it for him. I suppose I am lucky we didn't end up with a $10,000 HAZMAT bill.

He's in 7th grade, and actually was even wearing his "Vote For Ron Paul" (as in "Vote For Pedro") shirt.

He's got a quick wit - sometimes my husband and I think that it must be somewhat like parenting a young Stephen Colbert.

Good for him! Students like him keep their teachers on their toes.

Can't wait to see him when he gets 15, 16, 17... haha! Oh, the joys of teenagers :D

Great post. A true Patriot you have in your son.

One request though. Could those of you who reply to threads about teachers, and use terms that disparage teachers please know this, that not ALL teachers are like this one. My wife is a teacher, and is a hard core Ron Paul supporter, and i am a County Delegate going to the State convention.

Thankyou.
