Ron Paul Got My Son Detention

The teacher should be fired. The kid was right. Does not mean he should have been a wise ass, but I know I would have done the same thing lol.

On a positive note...I am anxious to see what C4L comes up with concerning their Homeschool Program. If it's good, I might get it and start my own Liberty Homeschool Co op in my town. That's a good project! We should all do it locally...and get these kids deprogrammed! That is something the C4l could focus on...Liberty Charter schools. We have charter schools in my town..they are still public schools funded by tax dollars, but there can be a certain focus other than the regular public schools. One of the charter schools here teaches Mandarin Chinese, there are Arts Charter schools. It costs nothing for the children to go. Just imagine if it could be a Virtual Liberty School. Florida has virtual school and it is a charter program also funded by tax dollars. Anyone from any state can enroll their children in the Florida Virtual School. Ron Paul is right, in order to change things, you have to get to the youth. Tones

My brother too! crazy teachers.

My Brother had a similar thing happen to him

They were talking about the candidates in government class, and my brother (a senior in Government AP class) said that everyone should vote for Ron Paul, to which the teacher said "Ron Paul is a crazy radical" and so my brother told the teacher he was a "crazy Radical" and... got sent to the Dean's office. the Dean told him not to bring up the subject again and let him go back to class to a quiet praise from his classmates.

I would tell the dean that state colleges are public property and free speech is covered by the first amendment, of course, I'd probably end up getting expelled lol. tones

Well, yeah. What do you think? After all, people who mention the Constitution these days are 'terrists', remember?

Do you honestly believe that a schoolmaster (teacher) in say 1885 would have put up with such a smartass remark from a student without caning him/throwing him in detention until he was 30/belting him one 'cross his lip? I honestly don't believe that there ever has been such a teacher in any American school who wasn't a laughingstock to his peers and to his students.

Ron Paul didn't get the OP's son detention - his own smart mouth did. And that's one reason that I'd make a lousy teacher in today's public schools - I'd be thrown under the jail the first time one of my students made such a disrespectful comment to me and subsequently had to pick up his teeth after class.

In 5th Century BC, the kid would have been killed.

Your point?

John McCain just said the EXACT same thing! (2:30+)

I can't access it. The video says "unavailable in Canada" and redirects me to Comedy Central. Can someone in the US view it for me?

What did he say? That Ron Paul is still running?

You might be able to get it from a proxy server like www.hidemyass.com. Try this: http://w2.hidemyass.com/index.php?q...xlPXNlbmF0b3Itam9obi1tY2NhaW4tcHQuLTI=&hl=3ed

It is from May, and McCain says, "Well, Ron Paul is still in the race." obviously expecting a laugh, but Stewart says something like "We had him on the show. I like that guy!" Ha!

Oh OK, I think I saw that video before. Thanks for the hidemyass link, I hadn't heard of that proxy yet.
