Ron Paul Debates TSA Screenings - CNN 11/19/10

Hit 'em hard, Ron! Yeah, it's the PRIVATE OWNERS who have a vested interest, i.e. financial, in securing their operations, not a corrupt government seeking further control by humiliating the people. Obviously, she did NOT get the message that governments are instituted among men for what reason again? Hint: That reason certainly doesn't involve attempts by governments to make us "safe".

+ rep to Ron Paul for a great interview

(and I'm sure someone who watched her image as she went through the scanner got a smile out of it)

i'll be honest, i kept watching the looping film behind hoping the clip of the gal in the white sweater would continue. this kind of scares me.

i hope Ron's bill picks up steam but i'll not be surprised if it's co-opted and some noisy tough sounding bill (titled Traveler's Bill of Rights v 2 or something similar) pimped by Boehner and McConnell will be passed that gives the TSA broader powers, more money, and slightly symbolically limits groping.

God I wish Ron would hire someone to help him with some good public speaking techniques.

It hurts our cause tremendously when he isn't able to gather his thoughts and communicate them in a coherent and clear manner. I mean I understand what he is saying but I have high doubts that the average Joe with a brainwashed mind can grasp what he is getting at..

Huh so frustrating.

He did a heck of a lot better than she did. "The government obviously has the authority and responsibility to institute these measures...."

and it gets its authority where, pray tell?

You complained about that in another thread as well.

Ron's doing just fine, he's stammering because he's pissed with good fucking reason too.

Every one of us should be foaming at the mouth, stark raving, bat shit furious at this as well.

The time for calm, soothing, well modulated platitudes is long, long, long past.

Of course to you and me it makes sense...

But put your self in the mind set of a regular Joe for a second. Do you really think they will side with Ron, just because he says the government shouldn't do it since they were ineffective before and are suppose to protect our rights not provide perfect security? I'm telling you that this sort of reasoning in a short soundbite isn't winning any support. We will have to do a much better job at arguing our case and it saddens me that you don't see that.

Anti Federalist, yes I did mention this in another thread but only because I'm very passionately supportive of Ron and his views.. and it pains me when he gets so many of these opportunities on national TV to argue our case and fails to communicate it well enough for the general public to actually learn something.

And I think you are wrong. There is never a good time to shout and be loud and pissed off. Calm and composed good argumentation will always strike a chord with the viewers the most.

Yes. Ron is doing fine.

On the contrary, passion generates press. If reasoned discourse struck a chord with the public, politicians would not get elected using emotional appeals and grandstanding.

I love that he is just simply like, "can I answer that?"

Then he hits everyone with some wisdom. You don't need to know exactly what the market will come up with. Does she want him to explain the iphone 5 and 6 while he is at it?

Someone should make a video with a kid and one of those pro-TSA idiots, and while the kid is telling why he shouldn't be touch in his private parts, the TSA idiot like that Fran woman says stuff on why your rights need to be ignored.

I give up. What good would it do me if I could convince you anyway it's not like I would fix the problem.

It just pains me very much, that's all, ever more so when I see how delusional some of you are where you can't even spot an old man rambling incoherently when you see one.
