Ron Paul coming back to Maine

Yup, and he's also been the only one running any ads there, though Romney just started running some of his own yesterday or so. Damn, it's really getting down to the wire. I can't believe things like this make my heart race the way they do, I might need to seek professional help by the time the convention rolls around..... :o

I don't think Ron ran any ads there. Are you sure? I think only Romney has. And Romney had a teletown hall, and has been going for fundraisers for party big whigs there since 2007, he never stopped campaigning there.

Ah, shit, you're right. Looking back, I misread an article actually stating he's been running ads in Nevada for a long time. It brought up Maine in the same sentence as a state he could win, so I interpreted it as saying he was running ads in both states. My bad.

And how many states have Romney and Santorum won? And Paul?

What worries me too, is that ME won't want to be 'the state that Ron Paul won'. It's as if the election has become some game with the party and all the state party officials to not be the black sheep. Heard yesterday the ME's GOP Chairman was on Geraldo (which is on FoX, of course) and making insinuations about Santorum voters voting for Romney, and then saying 'i don't condone that strategy though'. Yea, suuuuuuuure ya don't, but make sure EVERYONE WATCHING KNOWS AND THAT YOU HOPE THEY DO! Establishment psyops and tactical bs is so easy to see through these days.

Looks like the only major hole in Dr Paul;s schedule is Oxford counties Mollyocket Middle School consolidated caucus (must be too far to hit in stride of the others). Maine supporters, maybe try to get folks out to that location since Paul can't be there.

Our campaign was non-existent? Really? The campaign organization doesn't change magically when the candidate shows up, we have the same interns, managers, and boots on the ground.

I disagree with the decision of the candidate not to go to ME immediately after MN, too. But this is ridiculous. If people won't turn out to vote because they didn't get to do a secret handshake with the candidate, what are we even trying to do here?

This is about OUR involvement. It is OUR job to take this country back!
He is a 76 year old man traveling from place to place have you ever tried flying constantly HE PROBABLY needed a short break..

This changing and adding caucasus at the last minute is wacky...

Dr. Paul had to be in TX for a congressional thing in his District..

People looking for an alterntive to Obama should be drawn to the " one that's not like the other ones "

do some reasearch on Dr. Paul and be converted! :)

This Ron Paul bashing is getting pretty darn disturbing. OF COURSE Santorum can win votes by shaking someones hand. He is status quo. Status quo votes are easy to win over, shake a few hands and, walla, you're done. To become a Ron Paul supporter it requires dumping years of brainwashing. This doesn't happen with a handshake. There is not really a way around it, changing a belief system takes time. Let's show some support for Ron Paul at a time when he probably needs it most. Do you think he isn't getting frustrated after 30, 40, 50 years of preaching the same message? Do you think he isn't getting frustrated with not pulling wins? Don't you think it's frustrating for him when, even though the campaign is probably doing pretty darn well as far as delegates are concerned, his fair weather friends start bashing him. Get a grip people. When things get tough it's not a time to be fighting each other, it should be a time to pull together and show each other and Ron Paul some support. Sure, it probably would have been a good idea for him to spend a little more time in Maine this week, but we don't know everything that might be going on.

This is nothing more than a rationalization. Of course Ron could attract voters by having town hall question and answer sessions, shaking hands with people and asking for their vote. How do you think he got elected in his congressional district all these years? Do you think those people are libertarians? Because I can promise you they are not. He looked them in the eye and asked for their votes. He inserted earmarks into spending bills. And he held hundreds of private meetings when servicemen either came home or with their families when they didn't.

I can tell you what he didn't do. He didn't have rallies and give speeches on political and economic theory, where half the people were either unregistered to vote or too young to vote or from out of his district. See, it's not as if Ron doesn't know these things. He simply doesn't want to do them. We need to tell him that we expect him to do the things that get people elected. We should not enable this behavior.

Um, after tomorrow, there aren't going to be any more primaries or caucuses for 2 or 3 more weeks. He could take a LONG break then!

Have you applied to be his schedule director?
I was just trying to make a point.

If I just finished up a major exam on Tuesday, and I had to turn in the final revision of my term paper on Friday, and then I had spring break for 1 or 2 weeks, I'm not going to put the paper off until the night before. I'm going to start revising my paper when I get back from finishing my test! Then I could have a LONG break!

Would it be better for Paul to speak after or before Romney? I'm not sure how to perceive the Sanford schedule.

@PaleoPaul - please come to appreciate the fact that there are very intelligent and experienced people running the campaign and that they are making decisions with a lot more information than you have access to.
