I won't argue with you about that. Suffice to say that campaign would have been better off saying nothing and being ambiguous about it but I suspect much of that press release came after pressure from the Romney campaign after what happened in Arizona and Oklahoma on those in the official campaign worrying about their "status" in the GOP after Tampa.

I think it's completely natural to ask these questions. If people get mad at you for that, it could be more about the tone. I don't want to speak for anyone else though, but probably a lot of people are wondering how that money is being put, or going to be put, to use. Maybe there is a bigger plan we don't know about though. I think it's terrible that we even have to wonder about that. The lack of communication from the campaign is very disheartening.

At face value I can see how people would naturally wonder about that but the team is clearly trying to give the unity image while assuming we'll keep doing what we're supposed to do (winning delegates). Ron knows what his chances are at the RNC, as do we and it isn't 50/50 yet there's still a window of opportunity. Ron won't be butt-kissing and Rand will do the minimum to not sabotage his future. One things for sure, Ron won't bow out and leave a legacy of screwing over his supporters and their financial support. Nor is Ron gutless and that has been proven over and over again.

Were you here in 2008 when it became obvious that we weren't going to win?? Ron Paul took what was in the coffers and put it to starting Campaign For Liberty. It was CFL that keep the grassroots connected and directed so that we could make the progress that we've made in 2012. I say TRUST Dr. Paul. He's FULL of integrity and has NEVER put money in his own pockets. He's also got 30 years of experience in dealing with these crooks and I think he's playing his cards close to his chest to sucker them into a mistake and then BOOM, we get them at Tampa....

That's what I'm hoping for anyway, and if that doesn't happen, I sure won't blame Dr. Paul. He's given the last 30 years of his life trying to get the people to wake up and now he's making this one last play. He's betting the farm folks, and if we lose this one, who knows what will happen but it won't be good.

I suggest if you are really concerned and want to do something, save and plan to be in Tampa. We will show our true strength in numbers and who knows what the delegates will do?

I was hoping the goal would be to stop this fascist endless war BS, not to mention the constant assault on civil liberties and state's rights. Replacing one big government liberal with another big government liberal won't help at all. So if the republicans plan to nominate an Obama clone, what's the point?

I'm not going to criticize anyone here for the comments that they've made on this topic. However, I think that we need to consider that RP has kept his eye on the ball and he knows that this assault at the LA convention is a symptom of the national sickness. He also knows that this could be a flashpoint for something that may be inevitable, but certainly undesirable. This shithouse could burn down sooner than later if the wrong thing happens. Why would RP want to take the rap for that?

I'm sticking with RP's judgement on this one.
