By the way, here's a translation of the article if anyone was interested:
The first presidential blimp is coming. On December 10th, the blimp is taking to the skies from Elizabeth City, NC, for Republican Presidential Candidate Ron Paul. The plan for the blimp came from the owner of the blimp company, who is also backing Ron Paul in his run for the nomination.
The owner wanted the promotional blimp at cost, so Ron Paul supporters are gathering $350,000 for the project. That is including painting, gas, a crew, and one month of air-time in different cities across the States. Meanwhile, the fundraising was so good that the counter was at nearly half a million dollars. [Note: The last sentence is referring to the PLEDGE drive before the actual fund drive, which is at $125,000.]
The fanatical Ron Paul supporters are known for their fantastic fundraising capabilities. On November 5th, they raised a record amount of $4.3 million dollars in just 24 hours. They want to do this again on December 16th, and raise the biggest amount ever in one single day of fundraising in presidential campaign history.
Ron Paul is fairly unknown as a Republican candidate for the presidential nomination. He was the only Republican in Congress to vote against the war, and is very critical of the American financial system led by the American Central Bank (the Fed). He thinks that money ought not be created out of thin air. Whether or not Ron Paul will use this blimp as his Air Force One when he becomes President remains to be seen.
