Ron Paul ad & Roy Jones Jr Boxing - a PPV fight

Can someone else call chip in and see if it is my phone screwing up or theirs (415)644-5827 between the hours of 9:00AM and 5:00PM PST.

I have called several times but I keep getting disconnected after I select an option.

Since ChipIn has not responded to why my ChipIn was disabled I created a new one that can be found here:

http://ronpaulforumsdotcom.chipin.com/funds-for-american-liberty-coalition-pac

It's the same deal just giving it a more appropriate name since all funds will be used by PAC and might not be used for the boxing since no contract has been finalized.

AdamT should be able to note how much was raised in the first chipin.

The OP was edited.

Thanks.

thank you. I am still working on Chip In and the contract.

Go ahead and flame me. I expect a few thousand for this post.

But since no one is making this clear, I thought I would. If you still want to donate, great. But do so with your eyes open.

Heath at this point has no contract whatsoever in place. He has made it clear that perhaps this ad will end up on his shorts or maybe his t-shirt. If you have ever seen a fight you know that boxers do not wear t-shirts except perhaps, at the end of the fight for all their sponsors.

If the boxer is knocked out, then he never gets to wear that t-shirt.

You could be buying an ad that is two inches big on the bottom of a t-shirt that Mr. Jones Jr. wears at the ends of the fight.

According to paypal, this is all you are buying:

Contribution to Roy Jones Jr Fight Ad by Heath Whiteaker ([email protected])

Technically, that could even mean an ad in a newspaper, although I certainly doubt that Heath would do that. I do not think that Heath is trying to hurt anyone, but he may not be aware of the tricks that lawyers play in writing contracts and how little he may actually be getting for the money.

That is why it is so important for us all to be able to read that contract so we can figure out exactly what we are buying or how little it could be.

For example, if it says 50k for an ad on the fighter's back, it could be one inch and that would satisfy the contract but no one on here.

Anyway, I have laid out the situation as I see it and why I am concerned.

Let the flame wars begin!

Don't play into Cyclones hand everyone, if you want to donate go for it. Heath has been honest with us and I believe everything is above board. I've seen a few boxers come to the ring with shirts on before Cyclone. I'm not going to play your game this time though, suffice to say that I think to say that people should do their own *due diligence* instead of blindly listening to you. I'd also say that getting infowars.com/Alex Jones to do a story on this is no small feat.

id much rather see this happen than not. its an amazing idea by heath. although it would be best if the ad were on the shorts or body because then it would be withing view throughout the telecast.

heath let us know of any new progress

Deal fell through I will be refunding everyone's money it will take me about an hour to process all of them. Give me at least an hour so that everyone that donated will get their money back. Thank You.

I will tell you what happened after everyone has their money back.

Coming from someone who worked in a factory with hundreds of people of all races. This is how you reach the guys who work 40+ hours a week that don't watch cable news or follow politics.

These fights are bigger than dominoes, Euchre, college games and rank right below the super bowl in betting.

I use to win or lose my rent money on these fights.

damn it.

If anybody thinks Roy Jones Jr. is going to tattoo his body for a fight for a Republican presidential candidate that is polling last place nationally.... all for only 50k.....then you are crazy. Why risk alienating a lot of his fan base and major sponsors? Why tattoo your body for anything for only 50k when you are worth many millions of dollars?

There hasn't been one ounce of proof provided that this is remotely true. If somehow Roy Jones Jr. is secretly a huge Ron Paul fan and is willing to risk advertising for a candidate for a such a small sum of money..... would you trust somebody to put it together that has no clue how to even provide any evidence to potential contributers?

wow 24 big posts.... It had nothing to do with the money actually. If you donated money you will be the first to know why the deal fell through.

Heath, don't be discouraged. The sane people here really appreciate your efforts. Too bad this didn't pan out.

heath this was a great idea, sorry it fell thru i liked it .... just keep thinking up new ones and don't let small minded people stop you ....

Yeah I liked the idea. Hope to see some details soon. Why even wait to tell us what happened?
