Ron can WIN South Carolina now

Ron is at 12% in the latest sc polls. This is without any campaigning there and beforw tonights performance. Expect atleast a 8 point surge there. Ron will be in the 20s there when the next round of polls come out. Bank it.

Did you see the vile frothy Santorum's surge in the Polls in SC after he got second in Iowa?
He gained something like 15 percent in the polls. Ron Paul, a candidate of substance, could surge as well after this solid second place New Hampshire showing.

Lets not forget there's 2 debates before sc and ron should get atleast 2nd most time now and he's been nailing debate perdormances.

They'll still try to cut him out of the debate time but after that speech it'll start to piss people off and they'll be even more inclined to vote for him. I think after that speech he's set to benefit from the Sarah Palin effect where the more the media diminishes him the more conservatives start to root for him. If that happens it's a lock for us because unlike Palin independents don't despise us.

I think we wait until after SC. The field is still too cluttered. We need to focus on a good showing and continue to let Newt and the other candidates weaken Romney.

You don't understand. By then it is too late. Romney wins the first 3 primaries and the media declares it over. He gets 60% from there on out.

The game is different this time around. We have proportion delegates up to a certain point. We are in a two-man race. And we are steadily, stealthily, and consistently gathering delegates. (For anyone not aware of the delegate game, please see my sig)

Isn't ron polling in single digits in SC??? can only GOP registered voters vote in the primary and when is their deadline to register??

I think people are being a bit crazy if they think ron is suddenly going to change the minds of the neo-cons of the GOP party without independents or Dems voting for him.... not trying to be a buzz kill but just realistic

Yes, but even with proportional votes, there's no way we stop Romney from getting 51% of the delegates once the media and Republicans declare him the nominee.

are you kidding me?? you really think they are going to give Ron more time in debates?? LOL step away from the crack pipe...

No, it's an open primary--everyone can vote!

the grassroots strategy is simple... get the best result possible

the strategic stuff and where money gets spent is for the campaign to decide

depends on who is running the debates. ABC did a fair job inspite stephanopollution
SC debates -atleast one is Fox news -where WE WILL get a fair shake -though the questions will be hard and insulting on foreign policy.ron just needs another 'my heart weeps for them ' or 'i went' moment with foreign policy there.

who is doing the other debate? hopefully not NBC.they are the worst.

Ron has massive momentum now. Even on CNNs focus group of undecided voters, more switched to paul than anyone else. Ron is the clear anti romney and after that amazing speech, his word will spead like a forest fire, burning down the msm agenda.

Ron is raking in the cash as we speak and we have the opportunity to make this upcoming money bomb the greatest in our history. If we do so, the campaign can launch an outright onslaught of ads on SC.

But, I think the campaign really needs to start attacking romney in sc if they want to win. If we win SC, boy does this get fun.

When is the money bomb??? Can someone put up the site??

You mean we'll be ahead in delegates? YEEEHAW

We should focus on gaining delegates as a vigilant side strategy regardless. And most of the time, how well we do there is not even based on the poll results. Which is why we really won Iowa, and not Santorum/Romney. ;)

There are essentially only two ways to win in the GOP:

1) Keep gaining momentum to become the anti-Romney candidate and eventually beat out Romney (win a few states). This will be tough. Do not believe that the establishment GOP and MSM will give this up without a fight.

2) Keep battling MSM and the establishment GOP, finish 2nd/3rd consistently, but pick up delegates stealthily, secretly and consistently. Brokered convention and we win if we do our homework and have the numbers.

Because option 1 is tough, we should be cheering on Ron's momentum, but be vigilant and do our homework by getting ourselves into delegate positions to be prepared for option 2. (If anyone does not know about delegates and why it is ESSENTIAL to become one, please check out the link in my sig below.)

if perry somehow endorses paul after dropping out after SC, we have a guaranteed win in texas and that is huge.152 delegates.that is halfway to the nomination

Well, we should have the Alvin Greene supporters wrapped up in South Carolina...Wait. I think we were all of the Alvin Greene "supporters". :)

Edit: On a serious note. The big thing to get us over the hump would be an endorsement by Jim DeMint. That would be HUGE. Not that I think it is likely, but there are a couple things in our favor. First, I think he's not seeking re-election. Second, after a little bit of coercion (partially by Glenn Beck/Mike Lee) he actually voted against NDAA - although it was the second round in the Senate vote, not the first one. Still, he was only one of like 3 or 4 Republican Senators - so that shows he has a little bit of a backbone. Seriously, if DeMint comes out and supports us we will see a surge like no other. If he endorses someone else we aren't going to be sitting pretty in SC. Hopefully he either endorses nobody or Dr. Paul!
