Ron can WIN South Carolina now

Well, we should have the Alvin Greene supporters wrapped up in South Carolina...Wait. I think we were all of the Alvin Greene "supporters". :)

Edit: On a serious note. The big thing to get us over the hump would be an endorsement by Jim DeMint. That would be HUGE. Not that I think it is likely, but there are a couple things in our favor. First, I think he's not seeking re-election. Second, after a little bit of coercion (partially by Glenn Beck/Mike Lee) he actually voted against NDAA - although it was the second round in the Senate vote, not the first one. Still, he was only one of like 3 or 4 Republican Senators - so that shows he has a little bit of a backbone. Seriously, if DeMint comes out and supports us we will see a surge like no other. If he endorses someone else we aren't going to be sitting pretty in SC. Hopefully he either endorses nobody or Dr. Paul!

Yes, a DeMint endorsement would also go a long way toward getting his friend Sean Hannity on our side.

You don't understand. By then it is too late. Romney wins the first 3 primaries and the media declares it over. He gets 60% from there on out.

media, especially cable news, needs to keep the race alive

I feel that most of the other candidates have been fairly neutralized. Its time for Ron Paul to hit Romney and hit him hard. The timing for this is absolutely perfect, because a large voter sway may cause a cascade affect throughout the party. I feel that this is the most important point for Ron Paul. We've gone from third to second, and now its time to get first. They say Ron Paul is a wrecking ball when it comes to devastating a single opponent. Its time for Ron Paul to eliminate romney now that most of the other candidates noise has been eliminated.

The sooner the media declares Romney as a winner and the less people will go to vote. Wouldn't this disproportionately favor us?

IF we don't attack romney NOW then we will NEVER attack romney and it will be TOO LATE and everyone on here will cry and bitch and moan that we should have done it earlier, well, THE TIME IS NOW. Some attack ads need to start. We should get a money bomb going just for that if the campaign won't do it.

Don't count on that. Last night while Ron made his speech, Demint was on Mark Levin's show and he said that he wasn't going to give out any endorsements. Talk turned to Romney and Demint seemed pleased at what he heard during Romney's speech, and even brushed off his support of Tarp when Levin brought it up. His whole mantra was that any republican would be better than Obama and that that was all that mattered. When asked about his prediction he said Romney would win the state but that it was also possible that Newt and Santorum could surprise. Ron wasn't mentioned once during the whole interview.

a palin endorsement in the next few days do just right for us.it will kill any other surge and for a change we can get the mega surge .one can hope

I think that there will be enough people focused on attacking Romney that we wouldn't have to spend our money doing that. I think the campaign should focus on positive "feel good" ads that target women, AND show the Pro-Life ad. Let the others do the negative stuff. Show ourselves, Ron Paul, as the positive alternative.

Grinch dropped from 35 to 20 in SC after his iowa debacle.I am thinking 13-14% is very likely for Grinch after he failed again in NH.

Keep in mind that SC has a large affluent retiree population that cannot be reached via Facebook. I detail this in another thread I started today, but the long and short of it is that we need to be able to get on the viral email chain that dominates the internet use of the 55 and older crowd.

How do we do this? If you have friends on FB that are SC residents and are Paul supporters, contact them. Tell that about the initiative to reach out to these older folks via email and encourage them to come on board.

Ron has massive momentum now. Even on CNNs focus group of undecided voters, more switched to paul than anyone else. Ron is the clear anti romney and after that amazing speech, his word will spead like a forest fire, burning down the msm agenda.

Ron is raking in the cash as we speak and we have the opportunity to make this upcoming money bomb the greatest in our history. If we do so, the campaign can launch an outright onslaught of ads on SC.

But, I think the campaign really needs to start attacking romney in sc if they want to win. If we win SC, boy does this get fun.

We have no reason to attack Mitt anymore than we already have by pointing out his flip flops.
We will win with conservative Repubs, not liberal, big gov Repubs.

I think we definitely have a shot to win 2nd place in South Carolina. I don't really see the point of attacking Mitt at this point though, its not necessarily the same group of voters and the others will be attacking him super hard anyway already. I do think we should be hitting whoever is in front of us at the moment: Newt and Santorum. We already have the attack ads made for them and we just have to run them. I really do think we need more positive ads though especially on foreign policy and "electability".

Hopefully either Perry or Santorum will drop out after South Carolina if they do poorly enough.

are you kidding me?? you really think they are going to give Ron more time in debates?? LOL step away from the crack pipe...

The non-romneys attacked romney as the frontrunner in the last debate. I think we'll see an all-out attack on Paul this time, given his NH performance. This gives Paul a 'bully pulpit' for rebuttal. Either they attack Paul, giving him airtime, or attack Mitt, undermining Mitt's frontrunner status. It's a win/win for Dr. Paul.

Many of the 'last-minutes' went with Mitt because of his status as front-runner, and because Paul was considered unelectable. We should do much better in this group from now on.

I love how in the focus group they were trying to count the votes that switched to Romney because he seemed to think they would be more than those that put up their hand for Paul. He tried to count twice asking people to put their hands back up but then gave up on the effort once he realized that it looked like more people actually said they switched to Paul.

LMAO I saw that too!
