A small money bomb should easily be able to raise a few hundred dollars to buy the domain. I believe that Romney is the #1 threat to Ron Paul 2012, so really hammering him on RomneyCare is a critical strategy.

i probably wont donate simply because you could probably pick up a different extension for the domain which will not change the SEO dynamic one bit. However, I would be willing to do some free SEO work for the domain.

dont waste your time gonig after the .com extension. There are no difference SEO wise between .info, .net, .com or any other extension. .info is available and i recommend you pick it up asap

You need to have both Mitt and Romney in the domain name.
I think doing otherwise could possibly make the difference between a 1st and 2nd/3rd page result when someone searches for "Mitt Romney"

You are 100% wrong. Dont get the .info. Get the .net or .org if anything. There is a reason you can buy .info's for 99cents.

No you dont. If there are enough incoming links with the anchor "Mitt Romney" and you have proper SEO done to the site it could be asdfsd.com. However, having Mitt Romney in the domain name would help but not a must.

We aren't talking about Trey Grayson or Jeff Cherry queries. This is Mitt "Fucking" Romney. I posted that it "needs to be done" because we're going to be scraping for every single inch on our way to the top. Look at the results for Mitt Romney at the moment, it's going to be tough enough to break into page two for a brand new website. His personal twitter, myspace, and imdb don't even make the first page of results.
Impossible if you leave off Mitt in the domain name? No. However, it could make the difference between 1st and 2nd page results.
Part of Google's algorithm? Yes.
Nothing should be left on the table if we want first page results. It has to be done given the circumstances that surround this highly popular search term.
I'd be happy to give you your money back. Use a domain name with both terms.

Good domain. We will need about 16,000 inbound links. If this is the one we go with we need to get the links on as many blogs, with 100s of pages, as you can.
Make sure to mix up the keywords. Mitt Romney, Romney, Romney Care, ect.
Make sure we deep link the site as much as we can. ie link to mittromney101.com/romneycare
We really should be doing this on more than one site to better our odds of getting to the first page.
