Romney "Suspending" Campaign

This could be excellent assuming we can get a lot of Romney supporters to break our way! If they do, there is still a good chance that the convention will be brokered if Huckabee stays until the end, which is looking more likely.

Of it were Huckabee we would get a lot of his supporters but Mitts supporters will go to McCain..

They want to make sure there is no brokered convention and that is why he is dropping out..

Very bad for us if it's true. But... Maybe this is what the Powers that Be planned.

I think this was what some of us have been saying for weeks now. Romney finally figured he could not keep spending his own money to buy this nomination.
If this is true folks, this is good news !

Huckabee is kissing ass to be VP. So now it is McCain and us.

Get ready to RUMBLE !

Can Mitt work a deal with MacCwar and swing his delegates Mac's way? Will this make MacCwar win?

Seriously? This is good news in a sense, we can get the conservative vote! Hopefully! Many Repub's hate McCain with a passion.

I called this as soon as the California totals started coming in on Tuesday.

If McCain strongly outdoes Huckabee in the next few primaries, expect him to be dropping out as well by the end of next week and McCain clinching it by the 24th.

Say what you want about Mitt, but he would have made a much better president than McCain.

set to announce at function in washington (dc? state?)

DC-- he's speaking at CPAC. McCain speaks next, followed by Ron Paul.

I can't help but think this was carefully crafted to prevent Paul from influencing conservatives.

Guaranteed that no major media networks other than C-SPAN will mention or broadcast Paul's speech. That's why they booked him as last.

Maybe not - in all the caucus states where we thought we had a chance of winning, the Romney machine managed to get first place and we took 2nd (Nevada, North Dakota, etc).

But I'll believe it when I see it. He has no good reason to drop out right now. If he does, it will be because the GOP pressured him into doing it by threats, promises, or some combination of both.

he probably got tired of loaning his campaign money,.. last quarter he lent himself like 17 million dollars.

Or yet Huckabee will not even wait for any more primaries as he too wants in on the gravy train.

I'm thinking it's a two man race now.

That's what you get for rigging elections Mr Romney...even as small as the florida straw poll. He deserved a humiliating defeat. You sir, have been served!
