They want to make sure there is no brokered convention and that is why he is dropping out..

I don't see it that way. Most Romney supporters are fiscal conservatives...that makes RP a plus for them. Also, in many of the states Mitt won, we have trojan horse delegates, who will break for RP.

He's suspending his campaign instead of ending it because he's likely reaching out to John McCain to see if he can be the VP.

Liberal (Mathematically, not politically) investments put a McCain/Romney ticket at a little under 1000 delegates.. making it all but impossible to catch them if they combined.
