Hello everyone,
I'm BRAND new here. This is my first post., but I've been reading post here everyday since the forum was first listed over at dailypaul.com. I hadn't planned to register, because I am spending way too much time over here without posting. I knew that once I registered, I'd have to break my fingers to keep from posting about all sorts of things.
So here's what prompted me to register and make my first post on something I'd rather not even comment on. I've noticed that in the past couple of weeks there's been a whole lot of infighting on this forum. In these days of Google and the Way Back Machine (archive.org), anything you write in a forum is FOREVER. It can be searched and used against us (supporters) and against Ron Paul.
I just have this feeling that the stars are aligning perfectly for Ron Paul, except for all of this infighting. Kinda reminds me of how the US is imploding--crumbling from within. I know that a person's first post is supposed to be noncontroversial, but I've been a supporter of Ron Paul's since the early 90s. I have prayed that he would run for President all of these years.
I would really hate to see the infighting ruin the one last best chance we have to reclaim our great country.
As a disclaimer, and I have no intention of ever repeating this, I do not buy into the official line regarding 9/11. I haven't bought it since about a week after it happened and I got over the horror and awakened from my stupor. And yes, IMHO it's the "original sin," (after the SCOTUS "selection," that is) from which all other sins flow.
That said, Ron Paul's campaign is even more important. It's THE most important thing right now. Every campaign has its offshoots, its special interest groups. That's a given. It's going to happen. People will show up at rallies to pursue their own agendas. While I think this campaign is too important to use for other ends, it's going to happen. Why can't everyone just accept that and quit the fighting on this board?
You don't want to give first timers a bad impression, and often you only have one chance at giving a first impression. Bottom line, had I been a first-time lurker today, I would have left to never return. It's only because I've spend so much time on here and seen the great work that you all have done that I even have the nerve to make this post.
Please, I am begging you to think about the first impression that you want to leave with first-time visitors and curious visitors. This is not a free-speech issue, it's not a 911 issue. It's a perception issue. I hope that this is received in the spirit in which it is given. I have no malice in my heart and I have no agenda, except to retake our country. If this happens, the rest will take care of itself in due time.
