Results back in for District 6.

PLPF would not put a McCain delegate on their slate on purpose. There are rumblings of pro choice infiltrators getting on their ballot.

Hi, I think district seven is also completed and its listed on the front page of the LAGOP website. It also says district three but I clicked and its not figured yet.

So by your understanding of all this do you also think ron paul should have been called out first place? and not McCain?

I can't tell by district 6.
And I don't think McCain has first... its too close to call. A few votes our way can change things in other districts. Just depends on how many of the votes actually get counted.
Only 30% made the cut in District 6. I was hoping for 70%.

Those districts are completed because no recount was conducted in those districts. The margin of victory made it pointless. A count wouldn't make a difference in those districts.

We got defeated badly in 7 Torch? Err the college area Caucus RP but wasn't there a church Caucus area too that went awefully and PLPF swept?

Sandra- yesterday that same post said 90% Paul supporters lol. He must have modified it.

Something happened in lafayette. Lake Charles kicked butt, someone from district 7 will have to fill you in on the lafayette invasion.

Looks like 16 provisional ballots were accepted. That's 16 out of 69? Yikes - atleast we did get 13/16 of them though.

so will ron paul have 49 delegates?

We don't need 49 delegates.... we probably will not get 49 delegates...
But we can leave with national delegates with as little as 8 delegates in one district and we can be a player at state convention with 20+ delegates.

My math is showing that 20 out of 69 provisional ballots were counted, with 13 of those going for the Paul slate.

Curious to see what the 49 discarded ones show. I'd double check em with the actual people named, or try as best as possible. Don't know about what's 'normal' for Louisana, but that seems like an incredibly high discard rate...

We had an exit poll table set up. I wonder how that compared to the final numbers. I know some went through without stopping at the table.

Did anyone else notice there were ballot boxes for 3rd & 4th (or 5th) Districts at the 6th CD polling place at Jefferson Baptist Church. Just wondering, because it looked like both stacks had a decent amount of ballots in them...and it confused me at first, because i thought that place was just for the 6th CD.

As a voter in the 6CD, it raises a flag to me too. I find it strange that 50 people took the time to figure out the system and vote...but didn't bother to register.

I'm still surprised they let me vote, no problem, when I had changed parties close to the deadline, but I did it at the Registrar of Voters. But I imagine others registered at the DMV or by mail, which could explain a difference.

If one thing is for sure, people who cast Provisional Ballots are going to have to somehow make sure theirs are counted. the 6CD is very close considering its stacked with a former Governor and the current EBR Parish Sheriff, among others.
