Repeat after me: Ron Paul won Louisiana.

It couldn't have happened to a better guy.

Ron Paul WON!!!!

I just went to Barnes & Nobles to buy some Ron Paul books and Austrian Economics. None available even though I asked them to get some 2 weeks ago.

Because I wear a Ron Paul bumper sticker at the back of my coat and buttons in front, I was asked by the librarian "Who is Ron Paul?". Another young clerk nearby had no idea.

This was pretty surprising, considering I was talking to people that are exposed to a massive amount of information, newspapers, magazines and books.

I started my response with "He won Louisiana last night". Boy that sure perked them up! I talked about Nevada, Iowa, etc. I mentionned that Fred dropped out, Huckabee is broke and that McCain wants a 100 year war.

We need every opportunity to get the word out!

Are there any major media links talking about this or any links that say he won whatsoever? I really want to show this to a few people, but I can't show them a forum thread claiming he won.

Bump this every minute for weeks.

Ron Paul won.

He did better than all the other candidates.
He almost did better than all the other candidates put together.

I dunno how to break this to you guys ... but this was NOT the same type of caucus that other states have ...lol! this was only to select the states delegates. La has a closed primary to pick their candidates of Feb. 9th ...

You guys are jerkoffs! hehehehe

What is this supposed to mean? All the other candidates ganged up and won with the ProLife and Pro Family slate. This says we lost.

Someone please explain.

On Tuesday night, approximately ten thousand Louisiana Republicans caucused in 11 different cities across the state. Those attending the caucuses cast their vote for 15 delegates and 15 alternates to represent their congressional district at the 2008 Louisiana Republican Convention. Results were tallied on site late into the night and then reported to Republican Party Headquarters in Baton Rouge. Of the thousands of ballots cast, approximately 650 were cast provisionally.
Before these provisional ballots are counted, LAGOP staff must verify that the voter was a registered Republican voter in his or her congressional district as of November 30, 2007. The counting of provisional ballots in the 3rd and 7th Congressional districts is not needed to verify the results as the margin of victory for all winning candidates is larger than the number of provisional ballots casts. For the other five Congressional districts, Republican Party staff members will begin the process of verifying the results through each parish's registrar of voter's office. Once that process is complete, the Secretary of the Republican of Louisiana will certify the official results.
Prior to the tabulation of the provisional ballots, the uncommitted "Pro-Life/Pro-Family" slate appears to have won a majority of delegates in all seven congressional districts.
All candidates who ran for alternate delegate in the the 2nd, 3rd and 4th congressional districts won after qualifying as there were 15 or fewer candidates for those positions. The files below contain the unofficial results broken down by district and position. The P column shows the number of provisional ballots cast.

Please be EXTRA nice to these Louisiana delegates. We need them on our side.

Does anybody here bake cookies?

Next time you're canvassing, doing a phone bank or whatever and you hear our man can't win, say it!

When they ask you if you're sure, say "He was the top candidate in Louisiana. No candidate beat him."

When they ask why they hadn't heard it on the news, say "Yeah, that's really weird isn't it?"

Use it as a seguay: "Those people in Louisiana know first hand how inefficient and ineffective the federal government is. They're ready to simplify and let the states handle things with no need to coordinate or ask permission--and they're ready for the federal government to cut those massive taxes so the states can afford to take care of things themselves."

No lies here, people. Look close--not one lie. Just do it!

I haven't seen a source of this yet. Please provide evidence.

He didn't But

NO OTHER SINGLE CANDIDATE BEAT HIM

Come on you've been watching FOX enough to learn how to spin

I also have heard everyone bitching about the "Pro/Life" thing yet have seen ZERO, NADDA, ZILTCH of proof it was a effort of the other campaigns.

Seriously people Ron Paul stands for integrity and we need to follow that and quit accusations without basis.

don't get upset, a lot of planted misinfo everywhere to disrupt, confuse, obfuscate. Not everyone here is a ron paul fan, and many here are enemies trying to subvert the movement.

Man how hard is it to be positive? The media will put a negative spin on anything thing do, why can't we get some positive spin and good feelings in our own forum. If you want to stay in the "realist" mentality just stay in the bad press sub forum.

I can be positive without lying to people.

If I have to lie to be positive, it's called "Delusional"

It's one thing to say that we had a committed effort and the PL/PF slate , who wouldn't name candidates they supported , ended up winning. That if the delegates were named and committed, we likely would have won.

BUT..

I don't need to lie to people, and then have them turn around and find out it wasn't true. And standing up and saying "Nobody won Louisiana because it isn't over" in the face of people that are saying "Ron Paul WON LOUISIANA!" is not negative, it's just a fact.

Did any Ron Paul supporters get elected as delegates?
If they didnt and Ron doesnt win with 51% on Feb 9th then we lost.
Am I wrong?

He beat Romney.

And as of now, we elected at least 12 delegates to the State convention. We should get at least 3 delegates to the national convention.

And when the provisionals are counted -- we could have a lot more delegates to the state convention.

Should have been spinning all along. That's how the game works. One can spin without lying.
