Reasonable Argument: Think the Campaign Made Some Deals?

The demands at the convention better damn well be really significant then (dare I say revolutionary). If they don't cater to us in a big way something significant needs to occur by the official campaign that sends shockwaves through the GOP. If they cow-tow and lay down for insignificant party platform declarations (which are followed anyway) or a 30 second speech I will take my activism elsewhere. I will reserve judgement and keep plugging away until the end, but I am surely not alone in my sentiment.

Ron Paul is the only candidate with a sound plan to put America on a positive economic direction. romney is not presidential in any way.



Perhaps the gop hierarchy has made a deal with the obama admin to nominate romney and give the election to obama in return for a war in iran?

By ending the primary battles, Ron Paul is signalling to the field that this is the end of hostilities. In primaries you end up tearing each other down. It is millions of dollars spent on negative advertising. In caucuses, as brutal as they may be, you change the Republican Party, you empower the new and challenge the established.

I've thought about this a lot you know, all these laws they passing are VERY SCARY. VERY SCARY, my gut tells me the collapse is coming and they know it, they just need to get through these elections so they can stop pretending that printing money works. Maybe or maybe not they threatened RP's family or maybe they did it subtly or maybe nothing bad was said to him. All this VP, Rand stuff makes me lol when Obamacare has chips ready for us 2013, yes thats right microchips.

Lets assume he has been threatened and his hands are tied, and can do nothing from his end, OUR HANDS HAVE NOT BEEN TIED, maybe its been US ALL ALONG THAT WILL BRING THIS TO A HEAD, we need to start funneling money into grassroots, THE MONEYBOMB IS STILL IMPORTANT THOUGH or the press will attack its bad support, but instead of over a million, we give half to oil the clogs and funnel the rest in chip ins, I've heard some from Daily Paul say this, the guys on the ground will know if they will get a palmetarian from the campaign or not, if they don't they need to feed back to us so we can ship in for one.

WE NEED DIRECTION AND FAST BEFORE THE RP MOB DECIDES IT FOR THE MOVEMENT, this is where the mods of this site stand up and give direction, poeple like Mat Larsen start telling us what needs to be done before it all explodes, Isreal Anderson giving direction to keep this sh!t together.

we not saying don't work with the campaign, merely if the poeple on the ground don't get the help, they come to us and we provide the help like lawyers and parlitarians.

I was thinking .. with all the hoopla about ending campaigning and focusing on delegates and the recent breakfast RP had with the Fed chairman ("He now believes in the gold standard"), do you think the Romney campaign and possibly the RNC have extended a hand to RP to make some of his issues (monetary policy, indefinite detention, and internet freedom) and give him a platform to speak provided he wind down the campaign?

I don't get it - why does everyone think that speaking at the convention for 30 minutes is a big deal? It will be forgotten by mainstream people 24 hours later.

My thoughts: Ron cannot continue to spend money on ads because it simply is a waste and has no impact. The impact will be to continue the delegate strategy, and we'll see how far it goes, but it likely will come up short.

Then, after the convention, Ron Paul will join forces and be the VP to Gary Johnson. They won't split each others vote, and will likely gather 15% of the popular vote and can be included in the debates and political discussion, just as they've always wanted to continue the liberty message. Ron can't be blamed for taking away Romney win because recent polls show he takes away votes evenly from Obama and Romney. And this year, 80% of Americans have stated they would consider a 3rd party.

The time is perfect. Johnson/Paul '12.

Exactly. You know they had Hunter and Wead out there last night stressing that the fight continues and now he has to send another email out calling for capitulation. Well which is it?

You can't make deals without leverage and the only way you're going to get it is by getting delegates and the establishment isn't going to give them up without a fight.
