Reagan Library Republican Presidential Debate: January 30, 2008 Official Thread

Why are you giving up so easily?
Do you do that often in your lives?

Ron Paul is not giving up on us, nor
is he going to ever give up on America.
He is a fighter in his own way, and
we should all be so grateful that he is
standing up there for us and speaking
out for our freedoms and our pocketbooks!

Show some backbone and stop whining!

Or are you secretly for Hilary McCain?

I'm not giving up by any stretch of the imagination
I just saddend at what this country has become.

Once again....bring on the revolution! The Real one!

ron paul isnt giving up on us??!!

excuse me??

yes he is!

he should have walked off the stage- that would have given him moral superiorority. that would have told me that he cares about us and is fighting for us.

That would not win votes. If he has a chance for 2 minutes vs. none, he should take 2 minutes. It's not like he kissed their ass or anything. He got out his message somewhat, moreso than if he walked off.

Paul and Huckabee are PISSED.
The American people should be too. All of us. We are being wronged by the media because they're not allowing for a fair debate. This is the future leader of America... don't you think we the people should get to decide who we want??

There are none more enslaved than those who think they are free.

Most Americans can't see through the bullshit propaganda media we have. At least the people that lived in the Soviet Union knew they were living in a dictatorship and knew to take the "news" they received with a grain of salt.

Anderson was a terrible host. He cut Ron Paul off 3 times.. one time promising to give him a chance to respond in "2 minutes" (He did not fulfill that promise). Other times he just cut Ron Paul off while he was in the middle of talking and went to another candidate. This on top of the fact he was asked barely any questions and was allowed less than half the chances to respond. They of course gave McCain and Romney a 10 minute 1on1 debate in the middle of the debate. Instead of stopping the never-ending arguement they encouraged it by asking more questions directed to the two of them. I mean after they came back from commercial Romney started talking and literally 10minutes or more were spent between him and McCain before anyone else spoke.
The only positive thing about the debate was Ron Paul's strong performance with the time he had and how blatantly bias the media is against him. Many people were likely woken up by both of these things.

BINGO! Anderson is the $4,000,000.00 BAFOON! It's blatantly obvious that the MEDIA has made their choice for the American People!

NANCY REAGAN needs to endorse RON PAUL!!! ONE OF 4 that back RONNY when everyone had their noses up FORD's A$$!

McCAIN sounds like a Five n Dime used car salesman every time he open's his mouth! GESUS if you have to give ACCOLADES to yourself on each question instead of answering it in detail... TAKE A WALK McMiddleEast McCAIN!!!

in the whole debate- paul did just fine- but we needed a homerun.

he is a statesman, but i do wish that his people would tighten up his debating skills..........

All-in-all this is a loss. RP and Huck were the two most knowledgeable, intelligent orators this time around. BUT the GENERAL IGNORANT AMERICAN PUBLIC still got a facefull of McRomney and that is terrible.

Our worst problem is ignorance and MSM. We need to combat this. RP gave great responses for those who UNDERSTAND what is going on. But to obtain more votes/converts, RP needs to be more assertive, simple, and revealing.

You said it well - I agree. Call me a troll - but I'm disappointed with a lost opportunity.

Amid the lunatics on the stage, Ron Paul seemed patently normal - almost serene. ;) As far as the most memorable moment, it was undoubtedly Ron's interjection that the McCain and Romney squabbling over Iraq was rather silly. I'll never forget it and I doubt that the audience will forget it either. A member of the campaign should extract the squabbling and Ron's response to it and ask the American people if they really want either one of those two as commander in chief! :)

didn't you know that constructive criticism and healthy disagreements, along with sound judgments, are not allowed here?????????

Has anyone noticed the resemblance of McCain to Lon Chaney Jr.'s Character in "London After Midinght"?
