Reagan Library Republican Presidential Debate: January 30, 2008 Official Thread

Paul needs to take up the challenge against Obama and Hillary.

That would be INCREDIBLE.
It would say "I, the Republican nominee, am ready to debate the Democratic nominee for Presidency."

Not only that, but if he actually reads into their records, he could outflank them
and DESTROY them

To everyone who says that Ron Paul bombed any questions simply because he didn't dumb things down, I think you have to take something into consideration: Just because mostly sheeple watch these debates doesn't means they're idiots. On the contrary, they are simply deceived by the media, the same deception that more than half of us were under only a mere several months ago.

Ron Paul is saying the exact same stuff during these debates that he said to get most of you guys hooked on his ideas in the first place. He doesn't have to address these issues as if he's talking to kindergarteners.

PS - ronMOTHERFUCKINGpaul
I think an important point also missing is that the sheeple are easily led by experts (and real ones as well as the fakes). It's the true experts - economists, former members of the CIA and active military & veterans, etc. - who Ron Paul is addressing. The more of those that he attracts, the better. Then the sheeple will follow.

Who are you people?

Why are you giving up so easily?
Do you do that often in your lives?

Ron Paul is not giving up on us, nor
is he going to ever give up on America.
He is a fighter in his own way, and
we should all be so grateful that he is
standing up there for us and speaking
out for our freedoms and our pocketbooks!

Show some backbone and stop whining!

Or are you secretly for Hilary McCain?

I seriously think most modern Americans don't even think about what they want in a candidate. They just wait for the media to tell them who is leading in the polls (and exactly where these poll numbers are cooked up from is another matter) and like fans of a sports team hordes of zombie, flag waving "patriots" pile onto the bandwagon so they can say they supported the eventual nominee.

It's the only thing that seems to make sense to me.

Is it just me or did Dr. Paul look very nice tonight (for all you that complain about this)-- nice suit & tie, pin on lapel, etc.

Anderson was a terrible host. He cut Ron Paul off 3 times.. one time promising to give him a chance to respond in "2 minutes" (He did not fulfill that promise). Other times he just cut Ron Paul off while he was in the middle of talking and went to another candidate. This on top of the fact he was asked barely any questions and was allowed less than half the chances to respond. They of course gave McCain and Romney a 10 minute 1on1 debate in the middle of the debate. Instead of stopping the never-ending arguement they encouraged it by asking more questions directed to the two of them. I mean after they came back from commercial Romney started talking and literally 10minutes or more were spent between him and McCain before anyone else spoke.
The only positive thing about the debate was Ron Paul's strong performance with the time he had and how blatantly bias the media is against him. Many people were likely woken up by both of these things.

LOL. My parents tried to raise me as an evangelical but I've had enough of that. Don't mistake my disdain for RP's lack of LOUDNESS for Huck support.

:mad::mad:WELCOME TO MY IGNORE LIST, COMMIE!!!:mad::mad:

Kidding. I absolve you of your sin.:D

ron paul isnt giving up on us??!!

excuse me??

yes he is!

he should have walked off the stage- that would have given him moral superiorority. that would have told me that he cares about us and is fighting for us.

INteresting that Dr. P used that last reagan question to push for monetary reform rather than plug his own campaign. He is a true statesman.

As I stated a couple of pages back, this was a brilliant answer. Not only did he show that Reagan did endorse him, he was able to show that Reagan supported one of the positions that makes people think Paul is a crazy old man...the gold standard. That is a great tie in and gives validity to the position.
