Immigration solution is SIMPLE.
End the welfare state. PERIOD. No amnesty, no deportation, no wall.
Cut the benefits, and problem solved. That's why they come here.

Most immigrants, legal and illegal, come here to better their lives. In my opinion, it's mostly government regulations which make "illegal" immigration a problem. But, yes, get rid of the welfare state for all (illegal residents and legal residents alike).
