*READ THIS* The Whole Story So Far

Okay, add to what I posted above:

"CANDIDATE FORUM - JANUARY 6th (Unconfirmed)
The New Hampshire Republican Party is sponsoring a forum for Republican presidential candidates on Jan. 6, two days before the state's first-in-the-nation primary.

Unlike a debate, the candidates will face questions from Chris Wallace around a table in a studio on the campus of St. Anselm College in Goffstown, N.H. The 90-minute encounter will air live beginning at 8 p.m. ET on the Fox News Channel and on Fox News Radio." -Jane Aitken

So regardless of the outcome, we are not wrong to be seeking the facts. AP possibly owes a retraction. FOX owes an official statement regarding this Jan 6 forum. NH GOP / Fergus Cullen owes everyone an official statement.

Absolutely, it is the right thing to do. As of now we have every reason to believe that there is a forum on the 6th and that Ron Paul is excluded. There is no proof that there is not a forum on the 6th and that Ron Paul is not excluded, but there are statements form members of this forum who have called their local affiliates and reported that there is indeed a presidential forum scheduled for the 6th and Ron Paul is indeed excluded. People blaming the Ron Paul campaign here are way out of line. They have every right to be upset about being excluded and all the information they have, which I am sure is more than we have, says he was indeed excluded.

The FORUM on January 6th is happening and we need to fight to get Ron Paul included!

Brunner recently posted the following.

"They haven't denied it, that I know of, and the people I spoke to tonight (one of whom helped found the Ron Paul campaign with Kent Snyder) confirms that it's absolutely true that a) The forum is scheduled and will be aired by Fox and b) Ron Paul is not invited."

Let's not jump to conclusions. Fox could cancel this if they saw it'd be in their interest. So we must continue to seek the facts here. We must demand answers from Fox, AP, and NH GOP. If they have published bad information they need to retract it. If this forum is still scheduled they need to announce it. They can't have it both ways, and in either case there is egg on the MSM's face.

The continued silence of Fox News (even in the face of inquiries by Ron Paul AND major media outlets) is disingenuous at best, and possibly even deliberately manipulative.

Futhermore, the spin / contradictory information from NH GOP is suspicious as well. Why doesn't Fergus Cullen come out and say what the deal is? Surely he can get an answer from Fox?

To clarify, "They" is Fox. If this quote is to be copied, please use this instead:

The people I spoke to tonight (one of whom helped found the Ron Paul campaign with Kent Snyder) have said that it's absolutely true that a) The forum is indeed still scheduled and is to be aired by Fox on the 6th and b) Ron Paul is not currently invited.

What has the NH GOP said or released that's contradictory? I find nothing suspicious about what they've done. Perhaps you've heard a statement from them that I haven't?

There's a reason Fergus hasn't made a statement, and it's nothing to be suspicious of, despite how it may seem right now.

Maybe I am mistaken regarding NH GOP. I just find it very strange that we are unable to get straight answers.

"An official at the New Hampshire GOP, which is co-sponsoring the event with Fox, said that Paul might still be included, but the planning for the debate was still coming together and it was ultimately Fox's call." -Baltimore Sun

If NH GOP are 'co-sponsoring' the event, surely they can tell us 1) whether it's actually happening 2) who is on the roster 3) the location and time . The event is supposedly one week away. This election is of grave historic importance. FOX and NH GOP need to either confirm or deny the Jan 6th event details; these rumors have been swirling since Thursday night and the public deserves a statement from either NH GOP or FOX, and a retraction from the AP if their wire contained bad information.

If FOX news and the NH GOP are lying to the AP and Ron Paul, as well as supporters that have called local affiliates, then it is them that will look foolish, not us or the Ron Paul campaign. We can only go on the information we have, just like the Ron Paul campaign can. If Fox had canceled this forum then they would have no reason to not let everyone know they did especially since some advertisers have already stopped advertising on Fox becasue of this.

All the evidence we have tells us this forum IS real and IS taking place on Jan. 6th!

We need to start emailing, calling, and faxing Fox News and demanding Ron Paul be included!

Im willing to listen to brunner on the NH GOP. Possibly they are negotiating to get RP in the forum, so they cant say either way, as this gives the impression of negotiating in bad faith. Also the timing of this im sure (weekend, christmas holidays etc.) is probably making official communication between 9 to Fivers very difficult.

If they are negotiating they may have just used grassroots brilliantly, probably adding pressure to the negoatiations to include RP. Of course this is just me speculating, i know nothing....

Chris Brunner is an excellent journalist who is interested uncovering the facts.

AP needs to retract, or Fox needs to respond to press inquiries. This is absurd and we should not tolerate secrecy and opacity in our political parties OR our media.

'Jesse Benton, a campaign spokesman, said they haven't heard directly from Fox that Paul is excluded; and if so, why that happened. "We've called Fox six times and have not had our calls returned," he said.'

Calls and emails to Fox News spokespersons by the Tribune were not returned Saturday evening.

That sounds right on.

This article is addressed in the timeline listed in the orginal post. It essentially is the same info which was posted on the nolanchart blog, the info was thoroughly debunked in a thread earlier. It is included in the timeline to let people know those articles are in error.
