Rand, Rubio, Jindal to speak at Pastors and Pews, an evangelical event

It's great to see these pastors having a voter registration drive cause God knows we need all the help we can get in key states in '14 and '16 to counteract what the dems have been doing for 6 years now. Also, glad to see Rand is at the forefront of this movement and going for the acclaim where he deserves it.

In an emailed statement to The Brody File, Gov. Perry says the following:
“While some seem intent upon driving people of faith out of debates on public policy, I believe a person’s faith gives them a more tangible view of right and wrong, and roots them in sound moral values that are essential to a healthy community. Today, more than ever, we need people of faith to make their voices heard, and provide the principled leadership to guide our nation through the tough decisions we face every day.”

These are the words of a guy who can't name 3 departments he wants to cut? I'm not buying it, I don't think the guy is mentally capable of constructing those sentences.

brownback and perry in the same room, that sounds scary. I'm surprised that the huckster and santorum won't be there.

Nope, I hate it as well. How many Jews were among the Founding Fathers? How many Jews lived in the 13 colonies? Would they even be welcome?

How many Jews will be at the Pastors and Pews event? How many ever use the phrase "Judeo-Christian"? How many even buy that when Christians use the phrase, they really mean to include Jews and Judaism?

Judeo-Christian is just a euphemism for Christian.

Huh? You don't go to hell. Those are sins, but if you repent, you will be forgiven.

That's true, because in Christianity nobody goes to hell because you can break as many rules as many times as you want and still get into heaven as long as you apologize it seems. What's the point in having rules to follow if you can break them over and over without any consequences? What happens if I kill 10 children and then repent, but my neighbor has sex before marriage one time without repenting? Do I go to heaven and he burns in hell for all of eternity?

But maybe you did pick the right religion out of millions despite there being no proof yours is more true than any of the others. You still won't get into heaven* if you have ever prayed without a hat on, unless you're a woman then in that case you go to hell if you pray without something covering your head or if you cut your hair.

It's funny how the libertarian philosophy is "Do whatever you want as long as it doesn't hurt other people" yet with religion like Christianity, you go to hell* for all these different things that don't hurt other people or even yourself. Isn't that hypocritical to believe doing heroin shouldn't get you any punishment but sex before marriage means you should burn in hell for all eternity?

I doubt Rand is christian now if he was so into atheism back then. Once you override the conditioning and realize all the obvious logic flaws in religion it's going to be almost impossible to go back. No matter how hard I try I'll never be able to believe Santa is real, same deal here.

* = unless you repent

The libertarian philosophy is "the government won't punish you as long as you don't hurt other people", and that doesn't say that God won't punish you. Not all Christians even believe that God will punish for actions such as sex before marriage. There is no hypocrisy here at all.

Oh please. So there's some fossils that are found in many locations, and that means that the Earth is 6000 years old? I wonder what happened when they used carbon dating on these fossils ;)

They don't Carbon date fossils.
