One insurance company to rule them all?
Why is the next step not the government building one hospital in each state, and giving out rationed healthcare for free at those site? That's a real socialist safety net system, and as screwed up as it will be it will be a lot less screwed up than trying to game insurance.
American's are weird.
We had county hospitals. They worked. Then the fedgov passed a law making it mandatory for all hospitals to treat whoever the wind blows into their emergency rooms, whether they're emergency cases or not.
That was the end of county hospitals...
