Rand is not going to pick someone like Rubio who he disagrees with on so many fundamental issues. (I've been critical of some things Rand has done lately, but there's still a night and day difference between him and Rubio on the issues)
They don't disagree on that much. They agree on social issues (Rubio has now said leave it to the states) and fiscal/economic issues. The only major disagreement is civil liberties and foreign policy, which will not be the core of Rand's campaign, and it isn't the core of Rubio's message either. You have to remember that Reagan picked Bush despite the latter having publicly trashed supply-side economics and fiscal conservatism (which was the core of Reagan's campaign). This was because he balanced the ticket and brought in moderates and the establishment.
It's called "uniting/balancing the ticket".Rand is not going to pick someone like Rubio who he disagrees with on so many fundamental issues. (I've been critical of some things Rand has done lately, but there's still a night and day difference between him and Rubio on the issues)

I think it's more likely he picks someone like Walker than Rubio.
I don't think the independent vote is a blip anymore.
If Rand chooses a more establishment VP pick, I guarantee he will go down in flames.
If Rand was smart
Vice President Napolitano.

Honest question:
Do any black, conservative, republican governors come to mind?
Edit- regarding the Rand VP discussion
I am curious on who the VP would be though since it is almost certain that Rand is going to run and will probably have to think about it in advance.
Has to be a hot hispanic/black woman ;P?........................
I think if Hillary does not run, Rand would have a lot more leeway.
