Rand Paul is just not good when it comes to foreign policy. He's just way to interventionist for my taste, and WAY to pro-Israeli apartheid.
The media keeps calling him an "non-interventionist" and yet he doesn't want to get us out of UN, wants to keep giving aid to Israel, and voted for Iran sanctions. With "non-interventionists" like this, who needs neo-cons?

If you want to go all in one step from our present out-of-control paradigm of the US as world policeman to a world in which America tends its own garden and acts only to defend its national interest, narrowly defined, your best bet is to have a psychotic break and retreat into a world of fantasy. Otherwise, you would do well to become accustomed to working for incremental improvements in a few areas at a time.

As a matter of fact he has repeatedly said and put forward bills to END ALL foreign aid. Is it your suggestion that he should aim to cut off Israel but not all the other countries?

There is no evidence he wants to keep us in the UN.
He favors ending all aid eventually, starting with countries dominated by Islamic extremists (as that's more likely to pass).
Rand opposes sanctions on Iran during diplomacy.

Also I agree we could probably find more common ground with a conservative (and increasingly) free market russia, then increasingly socialist and lack of morals Europe.
Yet another issue that Rand Paul is ahead of the curve for the GOP. If the Republicans ever want to win again they seriously need Rand as their leader. Rand is always the first to bring up these issues that Republicans need to re-evaluate. I wonder if Cruz is going to tag along again or if he'll pander to the party hawks

There has still yet to be a vote in the US senate for Iran sanctions. Last time Rand voted on Iran sanctions, he voted in favor of it. Yes he did previous vote against Iran sanctions, but now that he's running for president he's flip flopped. Same with immigration.
How am I a troll? I'm just saying that if order to win the 2016 Republican primary that person has to win has to be a hawk on Iran and pro-Israel for the Neanderthal Christian right. Just look at the polling among Republican voters on Israel. Simple as that. I mean you can call me a troll all you won't, but facts are facts.

Rand has said he wants to end all foreign aid. And wants to audit the Pentagon. And wants to commit troops only with approval from Congress. Neocons would rail against all of these.

The neo-conservatives rode the Cold War with Russia to power (mostly because the neo-conservative originators were Communist refugees from Russia, when Stalin turned on Trotsky, and thus they hated Stalin). They are butt-hurt and holding a grudge. Putin is their new Stalin, although that analogy is stretched beyond belief. Putin has not killed millions of people.
They are pushing this Ukraine issue as hard as they possibly can. They believe it will bring them back to power. If they are really lucky, maybe they can get Lindsey Graham, Kelly Ayotte or Marco Rubio on the next GOP Presidential ticket (McCain is just getting too old). It seems that the VP slot has been chosen by Bill Kristol ever since Bush/Quayle.
