Rand at 5% in CNN/ORC Poll (Tied 5th)

Trump won't win the nomination. There's no way he actually wants to be president.

Carson won't win the nomination. He's an idiot.

Bush won't win the nomination. His last name might as well be Obama -- the average Republican voter has zero desire to cast a ballot for him.

Fiorina stinks as a candidate. She can't win.

Cruz won't win because he's got the likeability of cancer.

That leaves Rubio. All we have to do is outlast Rubio. He seems like a total amateur, so I'm guessing he'll sink his own ship sometime shortly after he's anointed as the flavor of the month.

This is very true! I talked with my friends in 2012 and they were Democrats and we talked about Ron Paul and how he should get the nomination. I voted for Ron but my 2 friends told me that they liked Ron's message but were only willing to vote for him if he was on the general election ballot in November. That's why I've always been a supporter of having voters vote for any candidate, D, R, I or other on a non-partisan primary ballot. You could be registered D or I, like my friends in 2012, and they would've been able to vote for somebody with an R, like Ron. This whole D vs R thing really sickens me and I really think that refusing to vote for a candidate that represents your views the closest (or is your real first choice favorite) just because of wishy-washy reasons is like choosing a turd sandwich over a hero just because the turd sandwich is trendy! :toady::rolleyes::(

Carson cant beat hillary. I dont think this needs an explanation.

Jeb cant beat hillary. What a disaster that head-2-head would look like.

Fiorina cant beat hillary. That'd be a cake walk for hillary.

Cruz cant beat hillary.

Rubio sure cant beat hillary.

Only 1 person has been able to handle hillary, and last time he told her "I would have relieved you of your post"

Nice... Trump and Carson way at the front and everyone else basically equally tied for last, more or less. I can't see that lasting. One or Two of these 2nd tier candidates is going to break out big in the next two months. I'd put my money on Bush, Rubio, Cruz, or Paul as the likely one.

What I'd like to see is Rand making monthly climbs in the overall polling over the next four months---say to 8% by early November, 12% by early December, 16-17% by January, and in the 20's in February. If this is the overall national trend, it should be even better in the early states (IA, NH). If Rand does not start to make that steady climb soon, it will be hard to see how he can quickly surge later. The new CNN poll is a good start.

I've seen people saying that they don't see their names when donating through paypal before. I also noticed the ticker was sticking at points today ad would keep cycling through the same names until you refreshed. Sorry :(
