Quit Smoking for Ron Paul!

E-cigs are indeed awesome. I purchased an ego-t about 4 weeks ago and just this past week have gotten a lavatube for some good quality VV vaping. I smoked 2 packs a day and havent smoked an analog since getting my e-cig. I think that lots of smokers are turned off by e-cigs because they buy crummy kits from the mall or gas station that dont work very well. I now make my own e-juice in a whole array of flavors and it costs me about 10-15 bucks a week to "smoke" (vape). Right now I'm vaping strawberry cake that is fantastic. Its like eating a snack while smoking a cig. If anyone has any questions about a good kit to buy or how this whole ecigs ordeal works, feel free to send me a PM and I can surely steer you in the right direction. This sure has been a life saver for me and my wife!

E-cigs, the goods ones, have been a life saver for me as well. I tried patch, gum and cold turkey and they didn't work for me. E-cigs are good for people who lack will power.

Thank you. Middle class and lower income people are making donations to the Ron Paul campaign while rich corrupt billionares are making donations to other candidates. Shows Ron Paul is the choice of the common person.

Perhaps advertising and offering to sell tobacco products in a thread full of people trying to quit an addictive substance isn't the most supportive of things to do?

I said quit if you can in my post. Since you are not a smoker, you may not know that the addicton is still supported with the nicotine provided in e-cigs. I also offer e-cigs for sale. Smoking natural tobacco is not nearly as addictive as commercial smokes. (They use ammonia to enhance absorption of nicotine) and come without chemical additives so like I said before,
Quit if you can, but if you cannot or do not want to then go all natural!

here is the history channel on this subject.

Smoked at least a pack a day for 6 years (2 packs while I was in boarding school, 3 packs when I lived in Russia) and quit the day I found out I was going to be a dad :)

I used to do phone tech support for an ISP back when you could smoke in your cubical. And every single employee smoked. Hell, I had a cigarette during the interview in their board room. Man, ashtrys pile packs high as far as the eye could see. 2packs a day will kill ya...

Haven't had one in years....

My routine in my final two years of boarding school:

Wake up, light a cigarette in bed
Go downstairs for coffee, have a another one
Shower, have another one while getting dressed
Eat breakfast, have another one after eating
20 minutes into class, step out and have another one

Etc...2 packs a day on most days, some days would reach 2.5

If I went out drinking and clubbing, I'd have 2 packs just that night.

I was a pack a day smoker for 15 years, and I went cold turkey on Aug 7th 2011 (my birthday). I read a book called 'The Easy Way to Quit Smoking' by Allen Carr. I promise you, if you are truly done smoking and want to quit, when you're done reading this book you will be a non smoker. I commend each and every one of you for doing battle against the nicotene monster, and do not doubt, it is battle. What the book reminds you is that addiction to cigarrettes is much more mental than it is physical, and it combats the addiction from that standpoint. Smoke while you read the book, and when you are done with the book you will be done smoking, I guarantee it.

i rarely smoked a pack a day, but could. more like a pack every 3 or 4 days. i kept this up for about 4 years :\ but i felt like i was getting un healthier. today is day 6 of not smoking. probably about 4 or 5 really grumpy moods, lots of wierd dreams, only have i drank 3 times this year. getting better.

E-Cigs are damn good, just started them about 2 weeks ago. Get all the benefits without actually smoking and all the bad health risks. You really can't go wrong. I use the KR808D1 model on a Cig2o brand which work damn good. Several brands use that model. Cheap and plenty of vapor. I prefer cartomizers over the separate atomizer and cartridge as its just more added crap you have to deal with, so it's nice having them all in one. Myvaporstore.com has all you need. Never tried refilling cartomizers or using e-liquids yet. From what i read, it's seems like way too much a hassle when you can just get them prefilled, and the thing is too, reusing the same cartomizer over and over will wear out the atomizer and you won't get decent vapage, so i just chuck them when they run out and use a fresh one.The liquids have way more flavor types and mixing you can do, so that's a benefit, but i only smoke menthols and an occasional raspberry.

Always best to get more than 1 battery too and a usb charger, this way when one dies, you can go right to the other while charging the previous.

I will quit when Ron Paul wins the Presidency, otherwise I don't want to live long in the world were heading towards.

I made it three days before I broke down today :(

Sorry Dr. Paul. If I can't do it for you, I can't do it for anybody.

Good idea. :)

For those that find it too difficult...I'd urge you to try the "e-cig" route...which should save you a substantial amount of money, as well as not having to deal with the whole tar and stinking thing.

e-cigs could be worse than cigarettes, they haven't been out long enough to determine if they are harmless. I know people whose throats are fucked because it dries up your throat. They also cost more. I recommend American Spirits, you will smoke less for sure.

Wasn't there a story recently where an e-cig exploded inside someones mouth and took out like half his teeth and tongue?

I stopped smoking on my 3rd attempt.

1st attempt was for not even a day.:o

2nd was for about a week and a half.

3rd one did it.

Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and get back on that horse cowboy.

Talking about the war on drugs isn't helping Ron Paul either...instead of making him look bad when he defends your right to smoke pot, why don't you quit and send the money you save to his campaign? If everyone quit, then he wouldn't have to talk about the war on drugs.

I don't think anyone smoking pot or not smoking pot would keep Paul from speaking about personal & civil liberties. And when over 50% of US Citizens think it should be legal, it only hurts the Republican Party, not Paul.
