I think right here in Virginia, where I live, there are laws that make it illegal for abortion clinics to advertise. I don't get how Virginia's getting away with that, because it's freedom of speech & freedom of the press. I suppose Russia doesn't have freedom of speech and freedom of the press. Oh wait, supposedly we have freedom of speech & press, but Virginia can make it illegal to advertise, so I suppose Russia also has freedom of speech & press in the same way.
Same with any other good or service that's legal, such as tobacco and alcohol. We have laws here in the US that restrict or prohibit advertising of those kinds of things too. The US Constitution doesn't state that we have freedom of speech and press, unless we're a legal business offering a legal good or service, at least as far as I'm aware.
It doesn't matter if it's Russia, the US, or any other country, and it doesn't make any difference what the good or service is that's legally being offered. Making it illegal to advertise such a thing is absurd. I'm not a fan of making the offering of any good or service illegal, but if it's at least legal, then it makes sense to let them advertise.
Even if it's something that's not legal, it should still not matter if they advertise. Say someone runs a business where they offer to vandalize property of people you don't like (e.g., slashing the tires on their car); it shouldn't be the advertising of such services that ought to be seen as the problem, it ought to be the crime itself. Sure, such a person would be an idiot for openly drawing attention to themselves that way, but that's beside the point.
