Public Policy Polling - Vote Rand Paul

Ron kicks Rands ass on every single issue. I'll take a "fringe" candidate over a watered-down Paul any day of the week

And that's exactly why Ron Paul will never be President, and why Rand is in good position to become a United States Senator.

You aren't interested in how Rand would do? This is not "who would you vote for" but who would you like to see polled.

We already know Ron gets 8-10%.

I won't disagree with what you said, you are correct. Nonetheless, I believe this is going to be 'read' as who generates the most interest as a presidential prospect. For that reason, I went with Ron.

Rand has learned from his father's missteps. He's far from stupid.

I don't think he's the slightest bit stupid. I like him. But I'd frankly rather see Ron Paul in a debate with Obama (or even against Mitt/Pawlenty/next-clone-they-come-up-with) than Rand, at this precise moment in time, and given where they are in articulating their message. Rand needs to show Kentucky why they should love him before being a champion of liberty across the nation. Media is not going to let up as the message catches on. And a champion of liberty is what I want to see in 2012.

I'm sure I'll support Rand in 2016 and I do support him in his Senate race.

And Ron sees it as his JOB to take the heat for his message, and open debate. That will be good for Rand in 2016, because in 2016, Rand will be running to win.

but ron is the one in the running... at least in my mind he's already running.

What if Rand picked up Ron's vote and some of Sarah's tea party vote, the anti-anchor baby vote? Who knows... Rand may poll higher than Ron!

I doubt 8-10% of people nationally have even heard of Rand (even with the latest media blitz), and whatever they poll it won't be high.

Let's win Kentucky first.

In 2016 that might be true. In 2012 Sarah's people will vote for Sarah, etc. And in 2012 Rand is going to still be controversial given the media blitz he seems destined for, and will need a record of stances on positions so people can understand his positions.

Ron Paul has the best record existing, already.

and plus, rand has not even been in office yet and the dems and probably some repubs would have a fit if rand had only been in office for a year. Remember Obama and his roughly 3 years in office?

The problem isn't even so much the year, assuming he cast enough votes to show where he stood, the problem is that he'd need to be campaigning on no record at all, right after his swearing in on January 20, 2011, because the primaries would be just months away.

This is a choice between Ron and Rand for that election. Were Ron not on the list, of course I'd vote for Rand, regardless of his time in the Senate.

Let Rand sit for his full term and possibly run as vice to his father in 2012. He has the momentum, but we don't want to piss everyone off by cutting off his senate election before it even gets started.

For those who haven't checked recently, Ron's running away with this - 48%.
Rand's got 22%

Together they have 70% of the vote. :D

Hmmm. Jan Brewer appears to be on a surge.
Two hours left to vote. Just sayin'.

Ron is in the lead, and Rand is just a few votes behind Jan Brewer. Let's bump him over and have Ron & Rand win together!!! I voted for Rand.

Edit: Just 1 vote below and not long remaining!

I voted Glenn Beck just because I want to see how much pull he has with republicans.

Eh... Ron had it easily, but Rand could've used a few votes. Glenn Beck did horribly. :D

Edit: Rand & Jan tied for 2nd.
