Here's what I suggest we do at this point, in order of priority:

1. Stop letting this issue divide us. That's what the enemy wants. This is a grassroots effort up to us and the people of NH. No threats to the RP campaign.

2. Chipin to fund ~$65K recount now - http://www.grannywarriors.com

3. Work with Obama supporters to fund their half (and see who can get there first)

4. Continue sending email to NH DOJ and SOS to hold off certification of election. Add alleged fraud videos if necessary, and collect more news screen shots, etc.

5. Identify pro bono attorneys from RP Revolution that will assist in the effort.

6. Focus on handcounting ballots in machine municipalities first, then the others.

(7) Once funded, RP or Obama needs to request NH recount, by law. I actually think this act would do nothing but add campaign credo to whoever is bold enough to step forward, if it's done in the right way (that is making sure that state/federal elections for public office in U.S. are fair and transparent, not in a selfish, sour grapes sense. This is really the essence of the campaign, afterall, because all is lost without fair elections). Hunter and Kucinich could also boost their candidacy in this manner...

For upcoming elections, these actions and websites are important:

1. http://www.watchthevote2008.org for RP pollwatchers with tally sheets (exit polls) and Voter Verification Affadavits for each voter (doesn't matter who they voted for, give them out to everyone). Real-time reporting back from polls.

2. https://secure.eff.org/site/Advocacy?cmd=display&page=UserAction&id=109
http://www.blackboxvoting.org
+ any other sites I may have left out for e-voting reform

3. Ongoing lawsuits demanding verifiable paper balloting

Freedom only comes with personal responsibility. Nobody else is going to make it happen for us. It won't be easy. Tyranny is not an option.

For Liberty,
Publius Freeman

Ron Paul, and the American people, will win in 2008.

Please do not waste time or resources on this issue. It will not help Ron Paul and may instead hurt him. Donate to Ron Paul instead or help pay for local newspaper adds if you are already maxed out.

If you're not a part of the solution, you're a part of the problem...

This fund is above and beyond the call of duty toward the campaign.

If there is a recount and it does indeed prove there was vote fraud thereby placing Ron Paul in 3rd or 4th this would be an international news story. The risk in a recount is that some people might view Ron Paul as a sore loser, but the reward is unprecedented coverage of vote fraud and Ron Paul is the victim. If there is vote fraud and it is proven it will help Ron Paul more than anything I could imagine. The more the risk the bigger the reward. I for one have donated multiple times to the campaign and I demand a recount. Maybe its better that the grassroots initiates it as opposed to the campaign.

I will not argue with what you are doing, but shouldn't we concentrate on Michigan first. Seems this would take a long time to pursue and Michigan is in 5 days.

I agree, Bilgefisher . But the two things are not mutually exclusive.

People in Michigan, or around Michigan, really need get out there any get out the vote.

But what about our 20,000 voters in New Hampshire? They can handle this voting stuff.

A *great* guide to campaigning effectively:

If you go to politico.com and look at the map of NH you will find by adding up all of the percentages that 2.4% of the vote did not go to any of the candidates listed:

http://www.politico.com/nhprimaries/nhmap-popup.html

This made me wonder - what happened to that 2.4%? Did 1 in 50 people really drive all the way to the polling station just to vote for an "other".

So I checked out the new hampshire state tallies which includes the others. Here is a link to the page I used:

http://www.sos.nh.gov/presprim2008/index.htm

Adding up all of the "others" including Keyes I came to a total of 529 votes state wide (not including Belknap county which does not have the votes listed for some reason).

Now 529 votes does NOT add up to 2.4%. Fred Thompson got about 1.2% of the vote and he got 2884 votes. If you double that number you will be roughly at 2.4% with 5768 votes. Subtract the 529 votes that really did go to others you are have...

5239 votes that have not been accounted for

Just for fun by adding all of those votes to Ron Paul it would put him in 4th place with 3000 more votes that Rudy.

If I've made any mistakes please correct my work. I demand to know to whom these votes went.

MORE INFO:

The Dems apparently had 1.61% go to "other" in NH. I can only assume many of those votes have not been attributed to anybody either.

Bump.

For Immediate release - NCEL - All 50 states are being sued to prevent the use of computerized voting systems during the 2008 primary and general elections and beyond. The lawsuit seeks to halt the use of machine-based voting systems and vote counting procedures that hide the ballots and the counting of votes from the People.

The NCEL complaint challenges the constitutionality of current voting procedures in the states, claiming that they "heighten the possibility of confusion, deception, frustration, and fraud." It contends that the existing practices are constitutionally deficient and prevent open, verifiable, transparent voting, and that the use of discredited electronic voting machines and flawed vote counting procedures drastically increase the likelihood of error and election fraud. The lawsuit calls for a visible chain of ballot custody with paper ballots kept in full public view throughout the voting, counting, and tallying process. The lawsuit asks the Court to prohibit the states from conducting elections that are not open, verifiable, transparent and machine and computer free.

The US Supreme Court has declared the meaning of the Right to vote, as guaranteed by the US Constitution. Individuals not only have the Right to cast a vote, they have the Right to cast an effective vote, meaning they have the Right to have their vote counted correctly. "We need to bring transparency and accountability to the voting process throughout the states," said Bob Schulz, who wrote the brief and is spearheading the nationwide effort. "We need to reclaim our vote and ensure that our voices are heard and that our votes are accurately counted. The only sure way to do that is to have the People, in the light of day, observe, verify, and secure the votes cast on paper ballots and to count those ballots before the public by hand."

Since at least 1988, the ballots in 49 states and half of New Hampshire are hidden from the people and counted in secret by computers. This procedure violates two Supreme Court rulings. NCEL was filed in all 50 states to remedy this freedom threatening problem.

Read the National Clean Elections Lawsuit . NCEL was filed to restore hand-marked, hand counted paper ballots that never leave the sight or custody of the people until the ballots are counted and the results posted in each neighborhood polling place. This means machine-free, computer-free counts in our elections once again.

"Hand Count Shows 15% For Ron Paul"
http://www.ronpaulwarroom.com/?p=749

Now please tell me why the machine votes were so much lower.

Also keep in mind that they found 31 people that didn't get counted in sutton. So yes clearly even the hand counting could have been frauded a little. That is why we need at least one meetup group member or at least 1-2 ron paul voters or supporters to stand out of each precint during the voting to see who voted for ron. My meetup group is already arranging this. We're going to work in shifts and make fast food runs, etc. At least 1-2 people will always be present outside of the polling area. So we need to get these lawsuits going to get rid of these horrible machines. At the same time we will be monitoring the precints like hawks.

They were lower because they were programmed to be lower IMHO...stolen, in other words.

Call Bev Harris, source for Voting Fraud
Sutton reported 0 votes for Ron Paul, all the way until late last night. State Sticking to their guns. Family said WTF, then Sutton county retracted and said Ron Paul got 31 votes, not zero. Vote fraud expert Bev Harris contacted the head clerk in Sutton, Jennifer Call, who was forced to admit that the 31 votes Ron Paul received were completely omitted from the final report sheet, claiming "human error" was responsible for the mistake.

I'm gonna wait a bit to hear from two sources: Head Quarters and general Alex Jones. If he decides that the money must be raised at grassroots level it will probably be raised in about 24 hours.

Alex, I'm sure, is in communiqué with HQ and they'll come to a decision I'm sure. Meanwhile I'm gonna hold tight.
