Wow, her message is lacking a great deal of detail. Details which would most likely subvert her assertion.
First of all, what state she is in matters as far as pre-existing condition.
Secondly, if she was in pain and went to the ER they would have treated her, it's that simple. It is against the law to turn anyone away. If she didn't have insurance, she would just get a full bill vs a bill that reflects insurance coverage.
On her website she says that she has had chronic health issues her whole life:

Then she got a part time job as a massage therapist and the business folded in 2009. She got another part time job in Feb 2010.
If she has had chronic health issues her whole life, why did she seem so surprised she would need insurance? Wouldn't she be aware that she should take steps to get covered?
She calls herself a pagan, goddess... Her live journal:
http://memoryanddream.livejournal.com/
In this early 2002 webpage of hers, she lists "magik" as an interest

Maybe its time to call the great Randi?
She lists 100 facts about herself here:

One includes vice president of the drama club...
On this weblink (Oct 2007) she talks about her love of Tarot and whatever the hell "otherkin" is:

In any event you can link to yearly archives of her website here, just click on the year and then a day.

I feel sorry that she had to go through whatever she did, but if I had to wager an assessment (as an analyst) I would say she is a bit of a life failure, who is looking to capitalize on her "condition" by attempting to become an Obama poster child. She seems like a liar to me, and I could not find any mentions of her illnesses in older blog posts. Which you would think would be there based on her current assertions, if it is as important as she said, why didnt she mention it then?
So yes, I feel bad she had to go through what she did, but she seems like she is trying to be a martyr.
Another drama student, turned pagan who considers making crafts art? Weird.
I would be interested to find out how her magic and paganism helped heal her? Couldn't she just summon the goddess of healing or something?
She is trying to blame everyone who is opposed to Obamacare for her life experiences, so shame on her. She should become a champion of personal responsibility, teaching others how you are the best person to take care of you.
