PPPPolls...

Look Mitt won´t win this but he isn´t dropping below 15%, Perry and his money will take 10% and santorum will get 6-9. With huntsman/johnson and so that leaves 60-65% divided by the top tier. This is good. 25% could win it and Paul can take 25% even without a blizzard. Split up the vote. Paul is the one who stands out.

This makes no flippin sense based off the fact that one of the top characteristics in a candidate that they want is electability and someone that can beat Obama. Well, SHE'S NOT IT! She does horrible everywhere else and does poorly against Obama. Someone needs to send this meme to the Iowa GOP. Not surprised at all though that they'd be using some kind of trick to keep Ron from winning Iowa.

Could be a last ditch effort to sabotage Ron's chances in Iowa by making sure that most of the evangelical base doesn't move his way.

I don't see this as a bad thing. Bachmann is completely unelectable, and will undoubtedly ruin herself if she gets another brief shot in the spotlight. Her only talent is going on the attack as an underdog. She hit Romney and Gingrich really hard last night. Like, really hard. Where are her supporters going to go when they get sick of her again? To Newt or Mitt? Certainly not.

How could this sabotage Ron's chances? This is good for Ron Paul. Hopefully, this ends up taking votes away from Gingrich. It isn't like Ron is losing any of his base. If anything, it is going to split the votes from other people. I am sorry, maybe I am just too optimistic about this whole thing, but I cannot see Michele Bachmann passing Ron in any way. Take a deep breath and realistically think about this:

Michele Bachmann doesn't have any money to advertise.
Bachmann doesn't have an organization anymore, compared to Ames.
Her poll numbers are still well below (despite what this tells us) below what Ron can do.
Ron has independents, as well as, college students. Does Bachmann? No.

If we all contribute to phone from home and promote the money bomb, we shouldn't have any trouble with Bachmann.

Good for her, so long as she is stealing votes primarily from Newt. I really don't think she is an issue. The ideal situation would be to have Ron come in first and Michelle come in 2nd. Then Newt or Mitt 3rd or 4th, which is embarassing for both of them.

Iowa is the best she will ever do. She will drop off the map at New Hampshire.

Shit. I knew this was gonna happen. Who's she taking support away from though? How do we combat this?

yeah, this was my concern as well with aspects of the media pushing her, such as Wapo and CBS. Too bad the polling was Friday not after the debate.

With Ron being the only one who can beat Obama in Iowa per the Marist poll, I'm sure PPP, as a Dem pollster s rooting for someone else to win. Having said that, it is getting close to when they are rated, so I would think they would be more careful, at least soon. Mind you, they always poll right before the election and that one is the one most looked at.

Not surprised and not worried. She will do well in IA probably 8-10%.

Ron supporters aren't going to switch to Bachmann, no worries. She just dilutes the others.

Aslong as Gingrich's lead is eroded, I welcome Bachmann's jump in the polls as it dilutes the status quo. She has little chance of winning Iowa. I think only Ron can dethrone Gingrich from the top spot currently. I can't see her doing well in New Hampshire frankly, so let her have a mini bump in Iowa.

I'm ready to bring on Rand to call out all their candy arses! And he'll do it to, that's the difference between he and Ron. Also it would be nice if Mike Lee would come out and help us.

Anyone else thinking that these polls are simply to play the public like an accordian?

No. We're now in the 30-day period before the vote (in this case, Iowa) in which polling firms have their accuracy judged and rated. This is the best time to believe pollsters. They're not going to manipulate a poll now and risk destroying their credibility.

Have you guys ever considered that having her do well actually HELPS us?
Look at the straw poll as an example.
Plus, it destroys the media narrative of a two man race.
Plus, we need to split up the vote.
Not bad at all, glad to see Gingrich's negatives rising.

I'm sorry but I can't stand Bachmann. Maybe it's time to remind the social cons that she's a pill popper. Shit's going to have to get dirty..
