Post Tesla attacks here

Your doubts will prove thoroughly justified.

I could be wrong, but I sometimes wonder if it is "republicans' posing as leftists in order to give Elon positive traction among "republicans".

It wasn't too long ago that "republicans" were livid that democrats were against fossil fuels, and the "republicans" objected to leftist cronyism forcing ESG green battery-powered autos when the market wasn't ready for it. Now all of a sudden the tide has completely turned. Magically, 180 degrees, over night.

Even Anti Federalist hasn't said anything about supporting fossil fuels for some time now, and here's this thread.

Are you aware Elon is against federal subsidies for EVs?

It's funny you should mention that, I had been meaning to address oil WRT to trade.

I saw a post the other day, extolling the virtues of the division of labor and globalized "free trade", using Milton Freidman's "Pencil Parable" speech.

And the OP wrote about how everything comes from everywhere else nowadays, and it's cheaper and better and and we'll get fabulously wealthy.

There's one fly in the ointment: every single thing you touch gets to you by oil. And a cheap, generous and stable supply of oil is not a given, not by a long shot. This whole Globally Harmonized System would grind to a complete halt within a week, if the oil was shut off.

That is yet another reason why everything a nation makes or needs or relies on should not be outsourced to the lowest bidder, with no regard for quality or distance.

That said, I already made it clear that I am still opposed to EVs in a practical sense, in that they are no way ready to displace ICE vehicles in a fleet as large as ours, I am still opposed to the subsidizing of them and am certainly opposed to mandates for them.

I'd be posting these stories regardless of whose property was being damaged.

If the Bolsheviks were breaking into people's homes to shit on their MyPillows, I'd be posting those stories.

And lastly, I voted for Trump to roll back those EV mandates, and he has.

I voted for Trump in order for him to appoint a wrecking ball to the EPA and he did.

Those were two of the five items on my list, all of which have been addressed to my satisfaction, that prompted me to vote Trump.

Yes, but it's the nationwide charging stations that he doesn't want to foot the bill for. Remember when he was interviewed and complained that only 7 were built under Biden, and that under Trump more would be built?

That and the fact that he has contracts for SpaceX with the federal government, his X platform shares user data with Au10tix, an Israeli cyber security company, and the fact that he wants to dehumanize people with his Neurolink Technology.

I guess you don't understand the "favors" that are passed back and forth in Washington [and Israel], do you.

Well, there are always trade-offs, if you're willing to play the game. I personally don't see any advantage whatsoever to it, since they are the ones causing all of the ruckus in the first place:

Let’s see now, mass murder in Yemen, Sabre rattling and war mongering against Iran, supporting genocide in Gaza and the West Bank and implementing the largest single tax increase in all of recorded human history. Trump’s been a busy little authoritarian.

Taking note of my Post #122, notice how at the middle of ^this^ tweet it says @fbi ? Is all of this meant to promote a bigger Police State, because local police are "unable" to do their jobs to catch these people?

This thread smells of something that I don't like. And it goes back to that glorious new FBI Center and "federal policing at the local level" that was just recently proposed by this administration.

@Anti Federalist , I'm just wondering here, are you pushing for federalized police/fbi by publishing these things, which should be kept LOCAL and for those communities to address in accordance to vandalism law which are already on the books?

It seems every time LEFTIST DEMOCRATS oops, I mean people, make a major production out of things, they end up going up the ladder which enables more legislation.

I remember a time when republicans [the true ones anyway] used to mind their own business and things worked themselves out and went away.

Nope, not particularly.

Me, I'd be very happy to see some of these Bolsheviks shot when they come charging up on somebody on the road.

But alas, your average Tesla owner is not a gun enthusiast.

I just wanted to post examples of the "mostly peaceful protest" crowd being mostly peaceful.

It's especially delightful to find out that one of them that caused a great deal of damage, over a million bucks from what I've read, is an unhinged troon.

And it is pretty stupid, when you think about it: "let me go and vandalize a car that is festooned with cameras and has a "guard" function to turn them all on when somebody gets close, get arrested with all that entails, possibly go to jail, all to make a protest point against someone in a political position that will be gone in another month whose only reason for being there is to find examples of waste, fraud and corruption."

Then perhaps let them do themselves in, or, rethink personal protection 👍 I’d be more inclined not to make an issue of it and let their stupid “movement” die.

All we need is more publicity for the Feds to “do something” about it - yikes!!!

Let the local cops be accountable to the local people and do their jobs 👍

LOL

As if they give him anything to complain about. You act like he's incapable of saying what's politically expedient while preferring and even supporting something else. You act the same concerning Trump, like somehow senile old Biden can do something they can't. That's why you look for all the world like a cultist to most if us.

This sub-forum is US News and Current Events.

I think that an organized effort, across the country, to destroy and deface very valuable private property in order to make a political point, is newsworthy.

And there is also the PSA angle as well. Perhaps just one Tesla owner will read this and become more aware of their surroundings so as to, at very least, not let one of these deranged Bolsheviks close enough to their vehicle where they could firebomb them and their family.

Might even turn them into a gun enthusiast.

At any rate, I think it's a moot issue now, it seems these attacks have faded away like you wanted.

Here it comes again. Antifa Part Deux. Vandalism, riots, looting, theft, and assaults, with no consequences.

Make it make sense: I thought EVs were the ne plus ultra of "green" transportation?

Of course that's rhetorical and a silly question.

Greens are just another flavor of Bolshevik.
