Great Night For Dr. Paul: Clarity, Vision, Decency, Rationality

Ron Paul received 5 minutes and 51 seconds in speaking time. His comments were economical, intelligent, sharp, coherent, no wasted time or moments to any of his answers on seven oportunities. His final remark and only opportunity in the final hour was his best moment, on pre-emptive nuclear war. Republicans, particularly Romney, Giuliani, McCain and others had advocated/refused to rule out a tactical nuclear weapons strike if Iran gets nuclear materials! Since such an event is an inevitability, that is a giant nation like Iran -which is certainly entitled like Pakistan, India, Israel to nuclear power- gets fissionable energy, these candidates are assuring nuclear war in our near future.

Only Ron Paul repudiated this. He final statement on turning away from 'just war' to 'pre-emptive war' is the great issue of the debate, and he, as Stephen Colbert would say, nailed it.

If Ron Paul were not at this debate, a terrible omission would have been made --- no one else opposed the idea of nuclear war against Iran if they pursue nuclear power.

I didn't think Dr. Paul made any mistakes at all. The edited video when it is posted on youtube will be another inspiring hit video!

I added a long remark to the Who Won at CNN TICKER but since every person said Ron Paul won, of the first 36 people, they have taken it down. Now its gone, as of 9.55 p.m. eastern. No one who likes the other 9 was blocked, but no one in 25 minutes said any other candidate but Ron Paul won the debate. I'm not kidding.

I wrote a lengthy comment but its gone now too.

Giuliani, McCain and Romney received 11 minutes to 13 minutes each in speaking time, with all other candidates getting 5 to 8 minutes.

Hey, it came back, the Who Won, at CNN's TICKER, and yep, Ron Paul is the favorite by a landslide! at 10.00 p.m. Check it out! Ron Paul is VICTOR!

During Ron Paul's final great moment when he said militarism was a wrong policy, Independents reviewing the remarks for CNN pushed it through the roof, but Republicans reviewing gave it a negative review. It will be important to get those Independents to participate in the Republican primary.

Retired anchor Shaw laments effects of Fox on his beloved CNN

Shaw said: "When anchors are reporting the news, they should report the news and allow the viewers at home to decide what they think about issues.

"I don't want to hear an anchor's personal opinion about anything. Just report the news.

"But CNN continues to ape many of the on-air mannerisms of the Fox News Network, and I don't like that," he said.

You got that right, Bern.

I think the thing is most of us totally expected this.

Your right, we did...and thats the problem. We keep waiting for these little morsels of fair coverage and we will never get them. Anti-Ron is only becoming more pervasive as he gaines support. We only have one choice to continue this movement at this point and that is to take it to the streets. We need to connect with everyone in our personal spheres of influence and then some. I really believe this will be one of the last opportunities to appoach the restoration of the Republic in a non violent way. So were the patriots of past gave their lives literally, we have an opportnity to give our lives in the form of our time, talents, and resources. The degree to which we can give will largely determine what happens in all this. This needs to become deeply personal for all of us.

AMEN BROTHER! :D

wHATS HAPPENNING AT THE CNN POLL ONE CLICK RON HAS 5 VOTES THE NEXT TIME REFRESH 94 VOTES:eek:

I think something is messing up with the cnn blog. I saw comments on the post about paul saying the us rejected the just war theory, I then refreshed and they were gone. At first I thought they were deleting them but I refreshed again and they were back again.

EDIT: they are gone agian.

People keep re-posting them, and cnn keeps playing whack-a-mole.

Who was the snappiest dresser?

WTF kind of question is this? Are we rating a reality TV show star or a potential president?

Boxers or briefs? OMG

Post debate, the Paul guy just called out Mitt that Iraq did let the weapons inspectors in...

I think Dr Paul did a very good job with the few minutes he was given.

BUT! I also would like to see two things. I believe he should be more assertive when he does have time on screen.

I also think he is missing a huge boost by not being responsive to the immigration issue. Mark my words, the war is very important, but this amnesty will seal the candidates fates.

It seemed all his responses were on the war in Irag.

Dr. Paul, as far as I have seen.....does not address immigration, and missed an opportunity tonight to let America know he would close the border......thats what they want to hear!

Please don't throw rocks, I love the man, but we must be honest and all of us must somehow come to a consensus and pass it on. We must win, we must win, he is our only hope.

You can only try an address the best you can with what you're given and time alotted . i don't think he get a chance to address immigration.

I just had the opportunity to view the Ron Paul compilations video at youtube

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FhXoHCZZXWw

Loved the opening.. Like old time wrassling or The Stanley Cup.

I did get see the sanctimonious pompousness of the three puntrunners and their drivelingly hypocritical attempts at spewing bloviated talking points they are learning/being programmed to speak from the earnest words of Dr Pauls platform.. but only near the end. I am sure their rabid dog and lame pony show was not much different.

That being said Dr Paul did an outstanding job which will resonate with young and old alike in the next few days and then explode in views as the link get passed exponentially. Every one of his answers was spot on..delivered in reasonable sized chunks for easy digestion of the principle behind it by the busy American stuck in traffic or a cubicle. They can be easily chattered about around the water cooler or coffee truck or shop as the profession may prefer or access.

He had a command to his voice that one would expect from a Doctor. It was earnest, there were issues that were important and needed to be emphasized but he was not being authoritarian. Very refreshing. My Creator and my self are the voice of what is good for me as an individual.

There is an upside to letting the runtfunners yak and blither endlessly with little to nothing to say whilst confabulating horrible monsters and dragons they will slay. Like the coyote and his elaborate schemes to capture the elusive spirit of the roadrunner the entire Rube Goldberg questions and time given to sheer unadulterated bloviation from scandolous demagogues has put a shine on Ron Pauls apple and tarnished the reputation of the Three Stooges bigtime. If these three clowns morals, integrity, patriotism and intelligence were dynamite they wouldn't have enough to blow their nose.

Ron Paul owned every last one of them.

Best Regards
Randy

Can anyone get the poll results to work? It just continually says loading and then does nothing when you click more details or whatever

Did anyone notice that DOCTOR Ron Paul did not get to answer on either question about health care? Rediculous!

I was disappointed, but mainly because he didn't get much time to speak. I thought all his answers were good, even his immigration answer. Though I believe Hunter and especially Tancredo were the best on the immigration debate. Tancredo's opening remarks on immigration showed real passion on the issue.

But I believe Paul still made a strong showing. There are more debates ahead, and the network debates will get higher ratings. Maybe he'll get more air time during the next debate. I still have a lot of hope for Ron Paul, and I hope nobody starts getting discouraged.
