Post Debate Discussion

Hardly. Sit back, take a deep breath of air, and realize that the US media has been doing this since the day before Washington took office. The concept of fair and objective news is a modern concept. Throughout most of our history, journalism has been extremely biased and partisan. Live online comments may make it more obvious it is happening, but newspapers have always picked and chosen which letters got published in the editorial pages.

But rembmer. We're talking about private organizations. Are we going to abolish the first amendment and do a totalitarian Hugo Chavez on them? Rudy might do something like that, but Ron won't. If you want someone to make things fair, then Ron Paul probably isn't the candidate for you.

Our neocon administration already tried, through a failed CIA led coup d'état, to install a non-elected totalitarian dictatorship (Pedro Carmona) on the people of Venezuela. This dictatorship administration went AGAINST the written Constitution by the people of Venezuela. In other words, they threw out and disrespected the rule of law. The private corporate media and the coup blatantly lied to the people of Venezuela.

Def: Totalitarian - exercising control over the freedom, will, or thought of others; authoritarian; autocratic.

Isn't the word "totalitarian" more fitting for President Bush, who is disobeying our Constitution, writing his own "law" to move us to a miliary dictatorship than for the legitimately elected leader of Venezuela?

Aren't people like "I'm the decider" Bush, who force their will on others, what us Ron Paul supporters are fighting against?

Let's not allow people to try to spin things and let's show the entire truth.

Here is a video of the true story of Venezuela and the attempted CIA sponsored coup d'état, as it happened, that failed. The people of Venezuela stood up and WON. It demonstrates the power of the people ... which our founding fathers intended for US (not U.S.) to have.

You won't see this shown in the corporate main-stream media:

THE REVOLUTION WILL NOT BE TELEVISED

Granted, Chavez is a socialist. But for a "totalitarian", the people of Venezuela sure do love their elected leader. (I guess they like paying 14 cents a gallon for gas, their president teaching them their rights, and how to read their Constitution). Though I don't endorse it, it's the people of Venezuela's business if they want socialism in their country, not ours. We need to stay out of other country's business just like Ron says.

The truth is, our own federal government is socialist with it's corporate and public welfare programs. Our own president is worse than a socialist. Is our current president loved by the people like Chavez is by his? I know Ron Paul would be loved the same way if he was president.

Learn the truth my friends. This film is shocking. To me, it's encouraging in regards to what a people of a country can do and how they truly hold the power.

From Google:

HUGO CHAVEZ ELECTED PRESIDENT OF VENEZUELA IN 1998, IS A COLORFUL, UNPREDICTABLE FOLK HERO, beloved by his nation's working class and a tough-as-nails, quixotic opponent to the power structure that would see him deposed. Two independent filmmakers were inside the presidential palace on April 11, 2002, when he was forcibly removed from office. They were also present 48 hours later when, remarkably, he returned to power amid cheering aides. Their film records what was probably history's shortest-lived coup d'état. It's a unique document about political muscle and an extraordinary portrait of the man The Wall Street Journal credits with making Venezuela "Washington‚s biggest Latin American headache after the old standby, Cuba."

(Note to Brandybuck: I notice you're still promoting the official conspiracy theory ... even in your signature. lol.)

I gotta add that Tommy "Tom" Thompson came off looking like a complete tool. He alienated any support that he would of gotten outside of the Republican party by taking shots at the Democrats like he did, he also praised Bush way too much. Not only is his message fake, but he literally looks like he's made of plastic.
