Post Debate Discussion

We're talking about private organizations. Are we going to abolish the first amendment and do a totalitarian Hugo Chavez on them?

You know as well as I do that the MSN has been coopted by the ruling parties of goverment. CNN, FOX, and MSNBC hardly operate for the benefit of the private citizen. What I am trying to say is that we do have a choice. We do not have to except this. The degree of our success will only be equal to the degree of our personal commitment not to accept the crimes that are being commited against us, the American people. We need to move way beyond internet polls, forums, and blogs. We need to get into the head of the average American. Me personally, I am going to take this to the streets. This has gone far enough.

Well said- I'm totally with you. Now is our best chance for liberty...

The "Who Won" question is back. Ron Paul, Ron Paul, Ron Paul, Ron Paul....:)

That's why I'm saying, "We gotta fight for our man." We should be civil and what not, but we don't necessarily have to be tolerant of the bull characterized by parts of this debate.

Exactly. Get him in front of a camera to answer ALL of the questions from the debate, in 1 minute blurbs, then post as a podcast series.

Excellent idea. It would be ideal if he could be on TV to do that , whereby the show host asks the questions. It would have fit the Daily Show perfectly.

If we cant somehow get it on TV , I think we should contact Ron Paul's people (probably as a forum ..im sure Ron Paul wouldnt want hundreds of emails about it? ) and try and get it out in ,as you say, pod casts.

Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn't here.

Nice spin of cnn

I bet rudy paid cnn.

I was able to watch the first hour at work, but missed the second hour.

Wish he would've gotten more time, but realistically, GOP voters that are in favor of continuing the war won't vote for him, and GOP voters that want us out of Iraq need to only hear Ron Paul speak for one minute to become interested in him and want to find out more.

Ron has his picture on the front page of CNN. I don't know if this has been already noted or not, if it has... sorry.

I wonder if CNN is feeling guilty?

The problem is money! Nobody cared about Ross Perot until he told the media that he is going to shell out 100 million dollars for advertisement and then they gave him the time of day.

The most relevant in politics concerning mainstream media is who either has the most money already to shell out or who has raised the most.

You can always speak your mind to CNN but also donate. Anyone else notice that the top dogs had political analyists that they paid for themselves to practically say they won the debate and promoted them?

That is money talking and bullshit walking.

I think something is messing up with the cnn blog. I saw comments on the post about paul saying the us rejected the just war theory, I then refreshed and they were gone. At first I thought they were deleting them but I refreshed again and they were back again.

EDIT: they are gone agian.

This site posted earlier where Ron Paul was destroying in the poll by comments, was now just deleted (I think). If I'm wrong let me know, if not lets make sure they know it.
As I said a few pages back, the post is getting hammered with comments; it's appearing, then disappearing, then appearing, as are comments. Sometimes there are 0 comments, then 60, then 9, then 61 (including the previous 60), etc.

I think the thing is most of us totally expected this.

Your right, we did...and thats the problem. We keep waiting for these little morsels of fair coverage and we will never get them. Anti-Ron is only becoming more pervasive as he gaines support. We only have one choice to continue this movement at this point and that is to take it to the streets. We need to connect with everyone in our personal spheres of influence and then some. I really believe this will be one of the last opportunities to appoach the restoration of the Republic in a non violent way. So were the patriots of past gave their lives literally, we have an opportnity to give our lives in the form of our time, talents, and resources. The degree to which we can give will largely determine what happens in all this. This needs to become deeply personal for all of us.

The censorship is no differant than chavez the news media is picking our president
at least in venzeula their are taking to the streets and protesting it everyway they
can. When we do then the American people will see that this election can not be chosen by the msm

I think Ron demolished the 'competition' when it came to the Gay/Lesbian Military question.

ATLANTA, Georgia (CNN) — Should gays and lesbians be allowed to serve openly in the U.S. military? The audience applauded Texas Rep. Ron Paul’s answer.

“We don’t get our rights because we’re gays or women or minorities. We get our rights from our creator as individuals. So every individual should be treated the same way,” Paul said.

“If there is homosexual behavior in the military that is disruptive, it should be dealt with. But if there’s heterosexual sexual behavior that is disruptive, it should be dealt with.

“So it isn’t the issue of homosexuality. It’s the concept and the understanding of individual rights,” he said.

inaliable ,Individual, rights ftw!

..and people say he's against gay rights  . People are just too used to labels and groups.

Matt Drudge has had a poll up after (and sometimes during) ever debate so far, including the Democrats. So far he's yet to put up one for this evening's. Hmmmm...
