Post aftermath reactions of ron paul on Neil Cavuto

I wish he would have told him though if your going to ask a question at least have the courtesty to let me answer it and make an ass out of cavuto
 
I'd say I'm very disappointed that Ron Paul didn't say he was going to pardon all tax evaders. This guy is another sellout politician. He'll get elected on these ideas but he knows that the Congress will never go for his ideas and without Ron Paul pardoning, we'll just end up with the same corrupt government.

I think the Swedish philosopher Per Bylund (http://www.perbylund.com) said two things that are true" Power corrupts and only corrupt people seek power" and that "You either believe in government or you do not".

Everyone hates taxes... BUT not everyone believes the government can be run without them, and of course most people are not where we/Ron Paul is in terms of how small we think government should be.

So, I agree with those who believe that the net reaction from this will be that Ron Paul is a "kook" who believes taxes are unnecessary and that being a tax resistor is laudable.

I think we should hope this "blows over." ;)

But it won't. The fact is that Ron Paul is a radical, which is part of the reason I support him. But alas, his ideas are too radical for most people.

I thought he spoke good just cavuto and whoever else interviews him do not let him talk same thing with the political chowder interview and others they will not let him speak they ask the question and then answer it themselves wrong and go so you said and Ron he says no I did not and it just keeps repeating itself

I think what Ron Paul is trying to say here is this ....the People are sovereign under the Constitution - if we have bad laws WE THE PEOPLE have to demand that the law be changed. Who rules the USA? Is is "the government" or is it THE PEOPLE? Under the Constitution the "government" gets it's consent to govern from the people.

Ron Paul is trying to remind us that WE are supposed to be in charge. We have shirked our responsibility.

I had no idea he was going to be on today. Grrrrr.....There shoud be a "Ron Paul Automatic TV Tuner" device that we can buy.

Ron Paul sellout because he didn't say he was going to pardon tax evaders? I'm having trouble seeing that.

Er, wait. Because Ron Paul didn't say he was going to pardon all the tax evaders he's suddenly a powermonging corrupt politician?

Personally I don't see how pardoning is related, and who knows what he would do when it actually came time to pardon people.

And how do you know that Ron Paul. if elected president, would not pardon the tax resisters?

And Ron Paul a sellout politician?

A very optimistic statement ^^ Take a look at Ron Pauls record, that has proven to me that he is the real deal. He doesn't want to be president to run peoples lives or run the economy.

And even I have lived long enough to learn that most Swedish philosophers are full of bs:)

Well, I think we have to be realistic. As an anarchist, I think we should move in steps. Ultimately as small a state as possible would be great for here.

Then we can start moving to other planets to get even more freedom.
 
I haven't yet seen Cavuto's show but I remember RP saying similar things when he was interviewed by Maria Bartriromo. I think someone even posted the link on this forum.

I agree with you that the talking heads will try to spin it that way. However, people in this country are s-l-o-w-l-y waking up - I'm not sure the the spin will be entirely successful.

Neil Cavuto asked him "If you were President on January 20 would you tell the American people that they didn't have to pay taxes?"

Ron Paul: No, I would ask the Congress and try to persuade the Congress.

That to me sounds like he has no intention of pardoning tax evaders as President. It sounds like he is going to compromise his principles and work with Congress which is in essence selling out.

He'll win the election, but he'll never do the things he says he is going to do such as getting rid of the IRS and drastically cutting federal programs.
