I just want that creep (Santorum) out of the picture, but I'm worried he'll be pumped as the pious alternative after the amoral sperm whale sinks.

Plus he won Iowa (wink)

You think any other candidate wants to attend a 3 man debate where one of the three is Ron Paul? No way Santorum is getting out. For those who have seen Paul debate people 1 on 1 or 1 on 2 know that it would be game over. Paul's ideals are too strong and have been repressed for too long. If I had power and didn't want Paul to win I'd ensure it'd stay a 4 man race the rest of the way.

Perry stopped because his numbers were very poor.

Both Newt and Sanborem have decent numbers and Billionaire backers. Unless their numbers really start to decline, they will continue.

Can we shut up and just beat Sanatorium? He's the LAST guy I want to see do well. He's a fake conservative and a confused war mongering authoritarian excuse for a Christian. He deceives my brothers and I want him out. Let's get that guy out of this race.

If Santorum wins the nomination then Obama wins 4 more years guaranteed. There's no way people will vote in this guy.

Republicans have 2 real choices. Mitt Romney (status quo +- 2%) or the real constitutional conservative Ron Paul.

Anything else is just a vote for Obama IMO. I don't see why Republicans don't understand this yet.

Yep, this is what i stated in other threads long before this. The establishment snakes drop out, not because of money, but because of their support and poll numbers. No amount of money is going to fix that, and Perry had his time under the sun with the media blitz back in the early fall. Once they implode, they can't do it again. So you're correct, as long as Frothy and Stay Puft have decent support and good polling, they aint dropping out.

I just am really down after NH. We were flying high and i feel we should be a lot higher right now. The debate performance, and too much time off that i feel wasn't justified w/ events being skipped, considering what was at stake, kind of deflated any second place finish. Sure, it could be worse, but just gnaws at my bones.

Santorum still does not have enough money to continue. You can't win without money, unless he wants to rent himself an RV, buy a few cases of Ramen noodles and go campaigning on his own with no staff and no TV ads.

Those billionaire backers can still only give 2500.

This. The neocons are backing Santorum as the Romney alternative. It's only a matter of time before Gingrich is out. Watch out for the neocons, you never know what they'll pull. They don't really care who gets in as long as it's someone who will fulfill their warmongering, Israel firster agenda.

Santorum's numbers are going in the wrong direction... he's incredibly weak as a candidate. No way he can defend his post-Senate lobbying, nor much of his actual Senate record.
